'14 TN DB Todd Kelly Jr. (UT Signee 2/5/14)

I absolutely agree. I was just sayin that just because he committed early, it wouldn't preclude him from enjoying all the perks of the recruiting process. It would likely throw VN into a frenzy every time he went on a visit though. Haha.

In the end, I just hope TKjr is a VFL like is old man.

Yep meltdown every weekend. Of course if he's not committed and he's visiting it's still gonna be a meltdown. Lol. Don't forget about the twins :)

Guaranteed if he commits to us he's a 4-star. If it is Bama, OSU, LSU, etc, he is a 5 star.

Honestly, how can a kid have the offers TKjr has, coming out of Jr year, and NOT be a 5* already? 3* on Scout, like, I know Scout is bad, but C'mon Man!

You guys are idiots. That tweet meant that he hopes nobody boo's and talks trash to him no matter where he goes to play ball at. At least that's what I got from it.

Kelly is a class act. He attends a highly regarded private school and is a very respectful young man. Cant wait to have the #1 safety sign with UT next year.

Exactly. May be why Vonn Bell chose OSU so he doesn't have to compete with Kelly for PT in 2014!

I read that the 2 reasons he chose OSU was 1 - Dooley and 2 - he didn't want to compete with the guys already hear and the ones coming in next year for playing time. --- that was supposed to be what his dad told the UT coaches. Of course he probably also asked Clarret for a reference for the car lot he worked ( or didn't work at ) and where he got such a good deal on all his stereo equipment.

Please buddy. Just like Bell was a given to UT? Come on. We automatically assume this kid is a Vol because of his connection/location to Knoxville, yet I can spend hours typing all the recruits we have missed in the last 10 years with exact similar qualifications. It's the vicious cycle that has got us all in trouble. HUBBS is right, and continues to be. This kid is no where near a lock to UT like everyone likes to think. UNTIL he signs that LOI, he is as good as gone.

hmmmmmm

If he would commit early then the other top recruits will come along someone got to be the first one, that might set of a chain reaction for other top recruits to follow.:lolabove:

I am certainly cautious about recruits after this year and frankly, after following it for almost 15 years.

But, TKjr. is not like any other players that we may have lost. He is a legacy and right in our backyard. He sees UT stuff on a daily basis. It is not like losing Vonn Bell.

Just keep recruiting him like you do every other top prospect you want, and I would think good things will happen.

They said we're making a strong push, but they really only asked him about Clemson. Thy also said that Alabama was thought to be in good shape...which is frustrating, but it's ESPN, so no big deal.

Sister is cheerleader at Bama
