Booom!Awesome pickup! Our secondary is gonna be great in a couple years.Hell the whole Team is gonna be back to where TN should be!Pull 3 Good DT's and Hendrix,Mouhon.Great athlete and even better kid!Been following recruiting for 20 yrs and NEVER have I seen this kind of recruiting at TN!Good times are ahead!

With the numbers getting so tight and in great need of some big uglies, if jackson is a vol does gaulden make it in.

Berry's, barnett, hendrix, mosley, juco dl, ford/Humphreys, mouhon, jackson.

I know Jackson it's a long shot but if it came to him or gaulden e take him right?
I would stick with Rashaan.

Welcome, Rashaan.

Solid p/u. Another in-state commit --- cannot over emphasize the importance of this --- @ a position of need.

Shout out to, VW! Doin' work.

Boom!
:yahoo:
Is he projected as CB or S for us?

CB.... He could play CB,Nickel,Safety. But he said they want him at CB. He's a DB with WR ball skills.

This. Tennessee's recruiting him strictly for CB. Of course, if by chance it doesn't pan out he can always move.

FWIW, from a recent article

Unlike many of the teams recruiting him, Tennessee has expressed interest in playing Gaulden at cornerback rather than safety. “They’re talking strictly corner for me,” he said. “If that doesn’t go well, you know, they can always put me at safety. But they really like me, on my frame, as a cornerback, so we’ll see where that goes. That’s fine (with me). Like I said, I feel like I’m an athlete. I play the wide-receiver position here (in high school). I can play the cornerback position. I can play the safety position. It’s all about the love for the game.” - 247

I told people CWM was going to do work. Love how all of our secondary guys can really run and hit. I like adding Lammons and Berry too. Would be very good additions and would immediately help on the field.

Since you've worked with him first hand, which position does CWM specialize more in... S or CB?

He seems like a totally opposite coach compared to Conklin from last year... Which is a damn good thing.

It looks like he's a guy who will get right up in your face (whether your a freshman or a senior) and grab your face mask and let you have it.

He's intense but not crazy. He'll run the hell out of you but he knows the game. Our players will want to play for him due to his style of coaching. I'll describe him as an intense teacher. Guy knows the game and has innovative drills set up just for ball skills and such. He knows both positions equally well but his safeties stood out at UGA to me. But the job he did with Bruce Thorton at CB while there(he was a converted RB) was crazy.

Who was it that said Hurd was "too skinny" to be a SEC running back? Huge "skinny" kid!

Hurd is an ABSOLUTE JUGGERNAUT! He seems to be a 1-off proto-type and he appears this way as a junior in high school!!!

We have a few good looking backs that will still be here after this season, but I'll ignore that for a moment...

Hurd & Paulk as a backfield tandem... that will be like having Barry Sanders AND Eddie George in the backfield at the same time!!!

Add in the stud WR's, the rising QB's, an O-Line & TE's w/ a very high standard of play and we may just see a level of illness never before known to mankind! An illness so deadly that it kills anything and everything not wearing 'PANTONE 151'!!!

With defensive players like Gaulden, TK2, and other stellar defensive commits, we may also see a similar illness on defense too!!
