"It's about that time," Gaulden told InsideTennessee. "It's been a long time coming."
"I mean they were elated," Gaulden said. "I'm positive it caught them off guard. They've always told me that they're saving a scholarship for me and when I'm ready, I can do it. I'm ready, so I went ahead and pulled the trigger."
"I mean everytime I come up here it gets better and better," he said. "It's definitely where I want to spend my next four years in college. It was a great fit for me and even better fit for my family as well with them being able to come up and see their son play. I'm happy about that too."
"I mean that's big-time," Gaulden said. "I know I've got some good friends behind me that should have my back for the rest of my life and throughout college. It's a good feeling."(Wharton) was so happy. I feel like his life is made right now. Me and him are committed to Tennessee, so now we can just focus on going out after a state championship this year in football."
"We're definitely going to be doing some major recruiting for sure," Gaulden said. "I'm looking forward to seeing where things are going. We're going to be recruiting pretty hard. We're not done yet. Even though we have the No. 1 recruiting class in the nation, other recruits can pull the trigger somewhere else. We're still on top. So, we're just going to try to keep recruiting and keep us on top."
