I coached with the nc head coach and several others. Coach cates plays cover 3 almost constantly and its a tough scheme especially kids used to playing man. Not surprising they had some breakdowns in the secondary. I will continue to differ with anyone saying moseley is raw. He has played qb almost solely this fall except for certain big games. Rust would be a better word then thrown into a complex cover 3.

Good analysis. It's hard to analyze a player's true ability in games like these.

Not really, Sutton came in very raw since he played multiple positions in HS. Sutton is just very physical and took to Martinez's coaching very quickly.

I think more than anything Cam is just super competitive, his technique obviously can get better, but he always walks on to the field with a swagger or attitude or confidence that he won't let his guy beat him. I think part of cams success is effort and will to do whatever he can to shut his guy down.

Agree with everything you said except I believe Cam's technique is exceptional. Sure, it can get better but I've never seen a kid straight out of HS with technique like he has... well beyond his years. Cam will not be here 4 years IMO.

He's got good technique but a dude VHIII has exceptional technique for a freshman.

Cams work ethic is what sets him apart. Hope it rubs off on the newcomers

Rivals has an article breaking down about 15 players from the shrine bowl and not a word about the NC Defensive MVP, Moseley. Woody's mad.

It is complex for a period of time when u have played man ur entire career. Hes used to locking on his man. I guess if you have everyone runs streaks like in the back yard then yes the cover 3 is very simple. Not sure sc oblidged yesterday though.

Well what you are describing is indeed a "raw" cb. Its not a slight or any disrespect. He is raw, its obvious when watching him. He isn't as polished ad our other incoming CBs. whether its from not playing enough cb, being asked to play QB or just not enough
experience with reading wrs 1,2,3, and passing them along

No Hs cb is going to be a master of all things defense wise or zone concepts but he is further behind than what we see from the other 14 CB class members.

Don't know why its a crusade to say otherwise. No one ia saying we don't want him (well, except for one idiot) ...
I think Moseley will progress very well
