'14 JUCO DT Davonte Lambert (Auburn Commit 12/18/13)

I hope not, considering mom and grandma were given a lot of credit for signing off on Tennessee.

Was going off this:
"Garner visited with Lambert's mother and grandmother last weekend and this will be the Tigers last chance to sway Lambert before the dead period hits and Lambert prepares to enroll early."

Yeah, I know where you got it from. Just making a general statement that hopefully Auburn hasn't gotten in with grandma.

I hope family members promised the auburn staff they could come back for a 2nd visit and we find out lambert wasn't present for the 1st visit

Question.
And I hope this is not taken the wrong way. But I don't have the perspective since I am Caucasian.

For Someone on here who isn't and who is an athlete---would the race of your coach matter at all to you? Or would that sway your decision at all? I remember reading where Lambert kind of looks at Garner like a father figure or whatever. So was wondering...

SN: one of my fave coaches growing up was my AAU bball coach who was African American. (If it wasn't or my dad coaching me in another sport, I would say my only favorite)

Does anyone really think that Saban would leave Bammer for Texas for $10 million per year salary? No he wouldn't! He loves Bammer and all the Bammer fans, it's not about money to Nicky, it's about all his friends in Bammerland!

If you believe this garbage I've got some oceanfront property in Tucson, AZ I'll sell you! Cheap! :) :p

What makes you think that he likes bama and bama fans? Did he not like Michigan state and its fans, or LSU and its fans?

VQ said it is likely we visit with Davonte tomorrow.

If it's a business decision then I think he sticks with Tennessee. You dont go to a school as a JUCO, with only 2 years of eligibility remaining when they have what is it... all 4 of their starting defensive lineman returning next year? That is extremely risky for a JUCO player.

Devil's advocate: CP came to UT with Rogers and Hunter on the roster.

Different situation, that was a positive thing not negative. He knew he would be in the top 3 receivers, starting, with no other real competition. Auburn pretty much has a 2 deep ahead of him on the line. Very risky!

Any of auburns DL mentioned to declare for the draft???

If so you can bet your a.. They are selling that

I know Ford starts and Eguae is definitely in the rotation if he doesn't already start.

They have Elijah Daniel, Montravious Adams, Carl Lawson, and Ben Bradley waiting in the wings.

Thanks. So they don't have their entire starting group coming back like has been posted. Coaches can sell him can start even if it isn't reality. Seems like the perception of starting could be sold to me

Ford and Eguae were starters, but Auburn rotated 12 DL often.

Which helps us, he has 2 years to play and just being in the rotation is not enough. He starts day one here, guaranteed. Auburn will have 6 or 7 quality guys to compete against right of the bat.

This x1000. This is what will have him stick with us if nothing else when all is said and done. A JUCO has to absolutely love our DL situation right now...

I like your optimism. Maybe I just need to work harder to clean the Dooley out of my system. I'll be worried until this one is over though since AU has burned us with recruits so many times.

One half teaspoon for fast effective relief.
