If it's a business decision then I think he sticks with Tennessee. You dont go to a school as a JUCO, with only 2 years of eligibility remaining when they have what is it... all 4 of their starting defensive lineman returning next year? That is extremely risky for a JUCO player.
I cannot believe you goofballs are listening to any Auburn mods on recruiting info. I have yet to find a recruit that isn't an Auburn lean or likely Auburn signee
Are you implying that the AU mods are completely making up the in home visit, because that's really all that's being talked about. They write everything with a huge slant, but that's not the issue here. Regardless of what the AU mods put out there, it makes me raise an eyebrow when a commit lets another team's coaching staff come for an in home visit so close to their enrollment date.

Well put and To add to that it's the 2nd in home for auburn in as many weeks. We all know how the Auburn mods are and how they think they lead for everyone in the nation.
We also know Auburn's history when it comes to doing all it can to land recruits and not thining twice about breaking the rules if need be.
For me it simply comes down to the fact that a Tennessee commitment is letting Auburn coaches in his home this late. He could have told them no and if he was solid to Tennessee he likely would have.
Everyone's different. Some people have a harder time saying "no." I'm not that worried based on some of the more recent quotes from VQ.
Even if he was just too nice to tell them no, they're still going to be there for a long time telling him all the things he wants to hear, promising him the world, and who knows what else. I just hope he can see through all their bull and realize that he's pretty much a guarunteed instant starter here, and despite all the great things Garner is telling him there will be a LOT more competition for playing time at AU.
I should clarify another reason I'm not worried. Butch has proven to win the in-homes and he still has one left with Davonte. If the only in-homes going on right now were with Auburn, I'd be worried. With us sending in the reinforcements, nothing to see here, IMO.
This is the life of recruiting. Some kids you gotta fight for until the ink is dry. Butch knows this and will do what it takes to get the signature on the 18th.
I like your optimism. Maybe I just need to work harder to clean the Dooley out of my system. I'll be worried until this one is over though since AU has burned us with recruits so many times.
"Jones will also see defensive lineman Davonte Lambert later in the week, who's made it clear to Volquest that he's solid to Tennessee."
- VQ
Lambert has singed his financial aid package, so the staff can continue to contact him and see him in person as often as needed during the Dead Period. Auburn can not.
Tennessee will see him later in the week. There doesn't seem to much concern about losing Lambert to Auburn. He continues to tell us he's solid.

jones will see davonte lambert before the end of the week

"look for jones to be on the road plenty over the next couple of days before the start of the quiet period at midnight sunday morning. On saturday, hes scheduled to make his in-home visit with four-star defensive lineman davonte lambert, who continues to hear plenty from auburn leading up to the start of the early junior-college signing period wednesday.
While lambert remains committed to tennessee, there have been some conflicting reports regarding exactly where things stand in his recruitment.
Sources close to auburn indicated last week that the tigers were hopeful they could steal lambert from the vols, although he publicly refuted a report suggesting he already had flipped to auburn. But the tigers now seem to be increasingly optimistic about their chances.
Lambert and his family, meanwhile, have continued to indicate that hes firmly committed to tennessee. But this isnt the first time schools have received mixed signals from lambert. Because of that, its tough to tell where things stand with him at the moment, but its safe to say he at least has some interest in auburn. The situation certainly bears worth watching over the next several days."
