'14 GA CB D.J. Smith

I agree with breaker on this. And I also have had problems with everyone saying a player is a Vol lock because there have been two or three dozen Vol locks that have went elsewhere the last few years. Wesley Green had UT way out in front and was consider by many as a Vol lock but he committed elsewhere. I wish DJ Smith would commit already because we are the current leader and the longer he waits the less likely he becomes a Vol. we were in great shape to land several top 150 or so db 2 months ago and now there are a lot more offers to other db,s which to me it looks like the coaches are not as sure about those top prospects.

Didn't really get that out of BBs post. All I saw was an out of left field post about posters being mad about a kid liking the treatment he got from a school. Maybe I need to re read the thread, but I didn't see anyone bashing DJ Smith. It just appeared like a random post to beat his chest about something that wasn't relevant.

If I missed the DJ Smith bashing, my apologies.

I can not figure out tweet that has crystal ball 62% Tn Clemson & South Carolina 25% and 12% because on the same site's page it has Clemson and South Carolina " warmer" and Tn " warm" .

We have more early votes, that is why we have been dropping from 100% to 62%. The others have been recruiting hard lately. It says it is between the other two now.

Spot on!! It will only get bigger once the yearly cap is removed.. Stealing without a gun

Oh, but they are taking such good care of the budget and economy you should be happy to "do the right thing" and give "your fair share" for the good...well, never mind. LOL.

havent heard much because he named SCAR and Clemson his top 2

Looking like he's South Carolina's to lose at this point? I was really excited when we appeared to be in the lead for him, it would have been nice to have a CB with his height. Not really sure what happened for us to lose so much ground so quickly...

I think Smith is waiting till close to NSD to announce if not on NSD itself. The Gamecocks, who only have 6 or 7 more schoolys to fill, may not wait on him. In fact Al Harris, Jr. is actually the one they may sign...if they take 3dbs. There is talk that they may actually take three wrs instead. Also, will they offer a qb, or greyshirt a qb? All these will have a say in who they actually give a commitable offer too. The numbers are too tight, and dbs are one of the least needs compared to other positions, unless they feel the need for a taller db outweighs a third wr. In a couple of years, they may have only three experienced wrs on the roster.

Doubt he ends up at South Carolina unless he decides in the very near future. SC only has room for 1 more DB and it's likely that Al Harris Jr. will jump on board in a few weeks when he visits. Would wager Clemson at this point.

Lammons might have happened, I'd like both if the numbers work though. Smith has better size but Lammons' offer list speaks for itself.

I agree with Clemson as that is where the projections have him going. He will not be at USC unless he decides soon for them

Been thinking for a while that we may be essentially full at DB for this class. We currently have 14 on the roster, so I can't see them taking more 6. And with the critical needs at other positions they may take only 5. If you count the Berry Bros and Gaulden, we may be done.

Of course a surprise like Jackson could change that.

I think we are only taking 5 DB's

USCe, Miami, Clemson, and Tennessee recruiting him the hardest

Doesn't have any favorites or a leader

Deciding after his senior season

Working on official visit dates...knows he will be taking one to Miami...unsure about the rest

"Tennessee is trying to start something new. I talk to Butch Jones mostly. He's making jokes about how I'm his top cornerback. I like coach Jones."
