'14 CA CB Adoree' Jackson (Signed with USC)

Another thing I would like to bring up after many hours lurking in this thread, people bring up playing somewhere close to his family. His family has been in Illinois and he has played HS ball in Cali, right?
Why should the distance to where he plays in college suddenly become so important?

Perhaps but IDK that I see him dragging his dad down for a second visit unless there is legit interest. And I may be overestimating the proximity thing but I guarantee you have his family close enough to visit and watch him compete in track and football is probably a big thing. It maybe just as easy to catch a flight to either Knoxville or Gainesville or Baton Rouge.

I would like to believe distance is a factor but the reality is he has proven this not to be the case already. If he is willing to move 1/2 across the country to help his future & play ball/run track for high school then you have to believe he would do the same in college if he believes that school is his best option to reach his future goals. I mean honestly his parents cant watch him now at all & he still went. With all of the schools he is choosing between, their football games & several track meets will be televised anyway making it possible for them to see him no matter where he goes.

Good Point..

I'm not sure what would be "best" for him. His 2 clearest paths to playing time are here and USC imo.

I would love to have him, but, there is as much of a chance of him coming here as there is the Falcons wining this game at Candlestick. The good is we got a look, we need to win and they will come. We have a great class with some playmakers so the future is bright. At least brighter than normal!

No I wouldn't either, but your wearing orange colored glasses too. Those three uov's don't look good. Btw, a dark horse is usually an under dog with a chance. So being the dark horse doesn't mean being the leader.

It's also only 20 minutes from his high school. They are in play but you could be making too much out of it as well. If he was 20 minutes from UT, I bet he would've been here more than the two times he has been.

Falcons almost pulled it out..

So you're saying there's a chance.. :)

His high school QB just committed to USCw.

Jalen Greene

Here was a quote from JHop on this.

“This weekend the Trojans made a move when they earned a commitment from quarterback Jalen Greene. This could be a key factor with arguably their top target, Adoree’ Jackson. The two are close friends and Greene’s commitment might seal the deal for USC.”

Ah the old package deal play. Has that every worked out for a team? It seems when we do it we always get burned in the end.

You would think USCW would not have enough schollys to be doing package deals. If this happens, I would not rule out a future transfer of the package QB.

Case in point. Jalen Ramsey came to UTs campus quite a few times, and we never had a legit shot of landing him.

The QB fits with what Sark wants to do. And I think they only have 3 scholarship QBs, two of which will be RS-Juniors next year. Browne is gonna be a RS this year, I think. So they will be in the lurch in the future if they don’t take a QB this year, regardless.

If it helps to secure a ginormous talent in Adoree Jackson, well, so be it.

And UF didn’t help its cause with their new OC hire. Muschamp will be sitting on a very warm seat.

Roper may not be a splash hire that UF fans wanted but his resume is better than Helton and Pease. Im sure most say its Cutt's system but moving back to a spread is what Fla needs to be a top 50 O. Solid hire imo.
