Distance isnt really a factor, Jackson said. I dont care where I go if I stay out on the west coast, if I head out to the southeast, its fine. Whatever is the best fit for me will be where I go.
Jackson touched on each of the primary schools hes keeping an eye on and why they remain in the picture.
Florida, theyve got a great track team, he said. Between Florida and Florida State, theyve got great track teams. The DBs theyre producing at Florida and Florida State are fast and fly to the ball. Florida State is like an SEC school in the ACC and theyre just gonna compete.
For the local programs like Notre Dame, Illinois and Michigan, theyre close to home. Theyve got good programs and good tradition. Illinois is coming up on the upside. They fell down but its a home town school so Im still looking at them.
For LSU, its the defensive back university basically and theyre No. 2 in the nation in track so theyre going to compete as well.
As far as UCLA and USC, theyre right here. I can visit anytime I want so Ive built that relationship with them so thats nice.
Currently Jackson is ranked as the No. 3 cornerback in the country and the No. 17 prospect in the nation regardless of position by 247Sports.
