'13 VA RB Derrick Green (Michigan commit)

Thats what he said and i repeated it. How is that running with it? He wont be a Tiger.

I wasn't necessarily aiming that at you, but many on this board have taken that comment way out of proportion.

Right now (JMO) it's Michigan, Auburn, Virgina Tech, UT (in that order). But anything can happen when officials start.

And I do know for a fact he was close to committing on his last visit to Auburn.

Michigan, Auburn, VT, & Tennessee. If Bryant commits to Auburn it becomes a Michigan vs. VT battle. IMO
Green really liked his visit to Ann Arbor and HC Hoke. Distance is the only negative factor here. Mom wants him close to home = VT. I would love to see Green, a true power 'back, sign with the Vols but several things will need to happen.

Moms needs to chill too. Cut those apron strings and let your little man go play ball where he wants.

His parents recently visited AU so I think they are open to him playing away from home. Most parents would like to have their kids close to home but I haven't read anything re: the parents that indicates he couldn't sign outside of Virginia.

Well distance shouldn't be a factor either...
Richmond to Auburn = 639mi 10hrs 50min
Richmond to Ann Arbor = 605mi 10hrs 48min

Auburn was leader before his Michigan visit and before Bryant's decommit.

Aubbie vs. Michigan with Tennessee 3rd. IMO

Someone mentioned mom was pushing VT.

Guys i dont care where we are with him if he is here for the florida game and doesnt love that atmosphere because it will be hopping then i dont want him any way. But all im saying is if any recruit sees knoxville on game day dont count us out

It wasn't official but it was noteworthy.

“Worth taking,” four-star tailback Derrick Green (Richmond, Va./Hermitage) said on Sunday after watching Auburn play Clemson on Saturday evening in Atlanta.

Green, who has shown strong interest in Auburn, wasn't as concerned about the final score as he was about seeing the Tigers up close and personal in the Georgia Dome. Auburn ran for 180 yards, averaging 4.9 yards per carry, in the highly contested 26-19 loss.

“Like how they had some things going to the outside and inside runs,” Green said when asked what he liked about Auburn's performance.

Green has long said he'll base much of his college decision on a team's commitment to running the football. Green named his six finalists last month: Auburn, Oregon, Georgia, Ole Miss, Michigan and Tennessee.

The nation's No. 53 overall prospect is set to take an official visit to Michigan on Oct. 20 when the Wolverines host Michigan State. Green has said he'll take official visits to Auburn and Tennessee but hasn't set a date. Green's remaining to official visits will be divided up between Oregon, Ole Miss and Georgia.

We need to play Lane. He's the type of back that will attract other recruits. Lane, CP, and Hunter can all make plays that say "look at me". Lane is nasty in space and has matured a lot as a runner. Looks a lot better than last year.

See how he likes them when they go 6-6 this year. Auburn's bipolar. If they start out hot, they stay hot, but when they stumble, they really stumble.

And if they stumble much, the natives will start getting restless. Yes, CGC bought (pun intended) them a NC but other than that one year, his tenure has been very pedestrian at a school whose fan base expects more.

The popular hire of Van Gorder might have given Chizik a little more time, but after giving up over 500 yards to Clemson (300+ on the ground), that lift might disappear in a hurry. The new OC from Temple was a bit short of wonderful as well, and that is of more immediate concern for Greene.

A hearty welcome to the SEC to both new coordinators.

For The record D.Green had a scrimmage against Salem were he played first half of the game with about 50 yards and a brand new O line with 1 returning starter on the line. Mizzel played Salem last week a regular season game were he played 4 quarters and had a - 1 Yards and no TD's plus 2 fumble. I was their I saw why he can't play at the elite level they were bending him up like a pretzel he is weak and he has had 4 fumbles in two games no ball security or strength he could never hold up in the SEC he couldn't handle it.

So why did'nt he post that about Mizzel Ill tell you why he don't want anyone to no the truth MIzzel is a seven on seven King when you put the pads on he looks like ****.
