What's crazy is you hate this kid for what reason I have no idea. You pump up Mizzell but if you drop Mizzell in Florida there are backs like him all over the place down there. And I think they are much better backs than Mizzell. And really is there any good competition in Virginia? Best HS football is played in the South. If Mizzell isn't producing against teams from down here don't bash this kid here.

Not familiar enough with Hermitage's schedule from top to bottom but the district they are in is definitely not good. From a district standpoint alone, Mizzell definitely faces the tougher competition, but neither sees the level of talent from some of the other states down south.

My point. Green is the type of back that will do better in college than HS. Mizzell may be almost maxed out. He looks to be more quick than fast. Down south Mizzell type of players are a dime a dozen in Florida, Bama, and Georgia.

Wasn't disagreeing, just trying to add a little context/insight on your point about competition. As for UT, I'd much rather have Green in our style of play and in our conference but I also don't think Mizzell has maxed out. I'm actually happy he's staying "home" and going to UVA but, just from a style of play perspective, I would really love to see him in a WVU type system.

Dont think thats true, definitely hasnt been that for a while according to a few reliable insiders. Prob UT/Mich battle as reported by them with VT/AU behind. Dont buy the he almost committed to AU stuff.

Side note, has any recruit made his annoucement from a barbershop yet? And had his barber shave the school name or logo into his hair? If I could do it all again, this would def be how I made my college choice.

Well I remember at The Opening Kendall Fuller had a VT and a Clemson paw print one on each side of his head and he committed to VT so I think he beat us to it...

My point is that other than a vague comment by Hubbs, there is nothing to suggest Tennessee is in his top two. And yet people on here have him penciled in as a RB we'll take.

I fully realize we may not get Kamara and that is fine, if that is what's best for him. I just like the kid's ability, character, and work ethic, which is why I continue holding out hope that he picks the Vols. I still believe that CJG will land us one elite back this year, and someone that we consider a notch below elite (but probably still a solid 4 star), if we are taking 2 backs this year. I'm not worried about RB recruiting now that CJG is on the staff. Still hope AK is a VFL, though!
