'13 KY DE Jason Hatcher (USCw Commit)

What does hiring a football coach have anything to do with propositioning women? I have no doubt he will make a good hire. I just believe that have a good coach for a little bit right after our program has seen some hard times is a bad thing unless that particular coach really loved (and I am talking cares more about being a coach at UT than his paycheck) due to the volatility of the position.

What if Saban decides go back to the NFL?
What if Muschamp doesn't work out at UF?
What if Chizik gets fired at Auburn?

There are too many what ifs and other programs that can proposition a quality coach with more money. It would be better for UT overall by staying stable at gather some identity with a coach like Dooley rather than risk hiring an a$$ h()le that decides to bail on us for a 'sexier' hire.

Then we should have kept the NC winning UT alumni who was never going to leave us. We got rid of him 2 years after a SECCG appearance because we wanted better. If Dooley doesn't improve and we keep him then why did we make a change in the first place?

Because of angry impatient people that keep saying 'OH our coach is on the hot seat because he is not winning' and that mentality persisting over a couple of seasons. People listen, become disinterested and find another team to cheer for. Losing money starts with losing support.

True fans do not start following another team because the fan base gets angry or doesn't like the coach. And I'm neither angry or impatient. I never said Dooley should be fired last year even after the UK game. All I'm saying is that UT deserves the best and so does its fanbase. If Hart decides that Dooley isn't the answer, I trust that he will make the right decision.

I agree entirely, I am saying that 2 seasons is not enough to declare whether he is worthy or not of being the team's coach. This is the toughest conference in the nation. It is difficult to be able to find somone that can come to a program and win from day one. Hell, many of you think that Missouri and Texas A & M do not stand a chance (like I do). Yet these teams were in the top 25 last year! I am not sure if their coaches have a lot of seasons under their belt at their programs but I expect they have more than UT. I think you can only say he is on the 'hot seat' when his contract expires and has not shown any positive.

Can you guys take your argument somewhere else? Start a new fire/keep Dooley thread or something, but I'm tired of reading threw pages of your pissing contest, trying to find out if anyone has an actual update on Hatcher.

Whether Dooley is here after next year is far more relevant than a hatcher update. Cmon let's keep the pointless verbal masturbation going!

This is a debate not a pissing contest. This also has everything to do with Hatcher's recruiting seeing that many are telling him that Dooley is on the hot seat and he is starting to believe it. All a coach from an opposing team has to do is show him what you guys have said about dooley on this forum, and we have done the negative recruiting for him. I am tired of hearing this Dooley is on the hot seat crap. Recruits like Hatcher that could potentially read these kinds of statements are being misled by our own fan base.

We are doing the negative recruiting, not the likes of Kiffin, Franklin, and whoever has interest in looking at these forums.

If you cant see the difference between what he started with and the 2012 roster.. then there is literally no helping the attitudes of the Vol fans that consider Dooley on the hot seat. Its night and day. I'm happy to see that SOME of us can enjoy the major upgrade in overall talent and can be excited about this season. Some big things are due on the Hill and Hatcher has a chance to join the surge of glory! GO VOLS!!!

lol. If those aren't the words of a defeated fanbase than I don't know what are.

Or they are the words of fans that are excited about the future of the program. Don't act like your tired, generic thoughts are anything new. Its been said and most have stopped crying about the past.

tell me the last time Neyland was sold out and rocking? I think that will tell you if Dooley is on the Hot Seat

How someone can say Dooley isn't on the hot seat is beyond me. The UK loss absolutely torpedoed that.

Just to state facts, if any SEC school had our record and lost to UK they'd be on the hotseat, minus Nick Saban

This thread is definitely helping enlarge my ignore list. :)

Will probably check the posters' statements after multiple wins this fall... Bet they find something else to complain about.
