'13 GA DE Carl Lawson (Auburn commit)

Last year we were on pace to close with a top 10 recruiting class and then the Kentucky game crushed the progress. Who knows what will happen. We'll just have to wait and see after the season plays out.

Oci do you think this staff has what it takes to win championships? More importantly Dooley? And if Dooley stays this year do you predict any coaching changes? I ask this because i agree we have a shot at Lawson but is he worth keeping mediocre coaches. Just don't want the type of staff that gets big wins every couple of years

Not OCI but I see this year as the 1st where CDD finally has the staff in place to try and do what he wants. And finally getting the players to do it with. UT is 3-3 but lost to 3 ranked teams. No matter the score UT was in all three games for the most part. Now if CDD has been using the same staff since he arrived maybe him gone is a no brainer but inherited some of the staff and plugged in the rest just to get started.

Inb4...TW u r just saying that cause you want to keep seeing Bama beat UT :p

Thanks for ur thoughts as I know it's your true thoughts looking in. And I know you are a Vol fan at heart (just waiting to jump on the bw IMO :p). Also I know true realistic Bama fans truly do want to see UT back to full strength and dominating again soon...other than vs Bama of course, but all have their faults. :hi:

GBO!!!

RIP Big Tex!:cray:

Very good point, but I think our fanbase thinks football is basketball and that you can have a turnaround with a couple of 4* players! I'm for dooley sticking around another year, AS long as UT beats Vandy and Kentucky. If losses to either, cut him loose.

I actually think hiring Sunseri instead of promoting Lance Thompson to DC, considering the circumstances, will prove to be a critical mistake.

Lance was more qualified than Sal, and already knew the players. He was practically being mentored by Monte Kiffin, while he was here, and Monte raved about Lance's defensive knowledge. I think Auburn may try to snag Smart...at which point, I think Lance will get his chance, under Saban.

I could be the def coord at Bama if I had Saban standing next to me.

CLT was hired at UA to recruit 1st and coach 2nd in my opinion. Regarding Sal he has been interviewed and had his name in the hat for several HC positions. CLT has not. For coaching I like Sal all day long.

Smart will never go to AU. IMO
