It's very easy to understand. As of right now, his commitment is one where he is committed, yet still uncommitted. Now under certain committable circumstances he might recommit his previous commitment which now stands as an uncommitted commitment.

:loco:

Got it. Thanks for clearing that up. :)

Has he looked good so far? Havent read anything on him

Yes. He was an EE and impressed in spring workouts (for an undersized 2*).

Hubbs on VQ posted a few times that Blanc was surprising during spring workouts and finished many of the sprints and races near the top.

Had a fairly productive Orange & White game. Made some solid catches to move the chains, but also had some drops. He is still learning the WR position, but is an athlete. He will be solid on STs next year.

He looks pretty solid and real quick in the hudl juco highlights on the op. could be a joe Adams type of guy with the build and quickness

100% agree. Puzzling, BUT, I'll trust the coaches as always.

Not sure if I understand this.

The UT coaching staff is obviously better at evaluating talent than me, but I just don't get taking Comas' commitment at this point.

He might turn out to be a fine WR, but I think UT could have waited to take his commitment. UT is in on much better HS and JUCO WRs and it isn't like other teams have been knocking down his door to commit. He is a JUCO guy who is going to redshirt with his best offer being from Idaho.

Not questioning the take, but I'm definitely questioning the timing of it. I just hope this isn't an indicator of UT's status with other WR prospects.

Our coaches were the first in on CP. I'm not saying this kid is the same caliber as CP, but I wouldn't be surprised if he starts picking up a lot of offers from BCS schools in the near future.
How so? He won't even be playing, so it will be hard for other schools to see
anymore than they already have. Not
like there will be more film for them to evaluate.

I'm sure the staff likes him to take his commit but it's a little early for Juco WR? I have know clue who you staff feels good about but some solid WR named in their top 5 atp.

How about this: don't worry about it and stop trolling.

It isn't hard to understand. I said Zanca's offer list was questionable and you responded with Cody Blanc's offer list was questionable.

I don't agree. Simple as that. Cody had VT, UT, and Vandy offers before committing with UNC and other schools wanting him to camp and earn an offer. Now, Zanca's stock could very well blow up soon, but right now I don't think his offer list is comparable to that.

And you, BB, O&W, and other posters have brought up Blanc with me before. Most likely it is all in fun, but everytime I question a prospect" Blanc's name is brought up.

No hard feelings meant. Just agree to disagree.

I may be wrong, but I think Jay was meaning that Blanc didn't have a good offer list, yet he's been impressive in practice. I think he was saying to trust the coaches because they were right about Blanc.

Not a fan of this one, but the staff knows more than I do, so I'm not freaking out.

No Jay was talking about a double standard being used since he likes one player(Blanc) and questions the other(Zanca). I personally like the Zanca pickup as much as the overrated Santos verbal we had last year. I also think Zanca will produce well in this defense after a good solid year to develop.

Oh, okay. I must have read it wrong. :hi:

Truth be told, this pickup makes absolutely no sense to me.

I don't think he looks too shabby in the juco highlights. Makes some tough catches. Not as excited about him as the last monster WR class, but still looks like he could be a good one for us. Seems there aren't as many good wrs in this class as last year when they're seemed to be plenty to choose from.

Probably wise to consider his dads input. Here's what I aging him saying:

Son, recritIng is a business. If you sit out this season because that's what UT requested, then what kind of offers will you have I they decide to drop you like they have done to other players? It's possible you could get lots more offers if you play this season.....

Why are people questioning it? So what if he's a juco or has a low star rating or slim offer list. I trust Dooley and company more than the majority of coaching staffs out there when it comes to recruiting. How's Devrin Young worked out so far? Just because we're early to offer doesn't mean that the guy is bad. Truth be told, I believe a lot of staffs just play it on the safe side by waiting til other bigger name programs offer to offer themselves. One thing I admire about Dooley and co. is that they're not afraid to hand out an offer to somebody they feel is SEC caliber, regardless of what anybody else thinks. I used to be one of those star gazers, but after countless times of seeing a prospect seemingly fall off the map ratings wise because he committed to us has soured me on the recruiting services. I'm no talent evaluator, but if a guy's film stands out, which Comas' did, then there isn't any reason not to like him, which I do. See, I formed my own opinion, and it feels great. Some of you all need to quit questioning a commit just because he's not highly rated by the so called "experts" who have just about as much of a clue as most of the people on here do. Dooley and company have done pretty well on under the radar guys, so just trust that they know what they're doing, sit back, and relax.
