'13 AL RB Johnathan Ford (no longer a Vandy commit)

According to a friend of mine on Vandy's rivals, they are letting him go if he visits Auburn. Would put it between us and Auburn then with no clear leader at this point.

Kind of like saying, "You can't fire me because I quit."

Agreed. But hey, if Franklin wants to start a reputation like that then I'm fine with it. As far as landing Ford I think we still have an in-home with CBJ that could come in handy.

Sadly though, I think it would be difficult to beat the Barn for the kid, simply because it's been stated that he is a lifelong AU fan.

That's like a Tennessee kid, loving the Vols and wanting an offer, not getting one until really late in the process, right after USCe has offered you. You've got some interest in the gamecocks, but you have been waiting on the UT offer your entire life.

That being said, maybe he will visit, not love it, or feel like they have wronged him by not extending the offer sooner. Potentially he will visit, and be slow played by the coaches for one reason or another.

We'll simply have to wait and see, but if he visits AU, I'd be willing to predict he ends up there.

Yeah that's my feeling as well, but I'm not putting it past CBJ to use his in-home after the Auburn visit and to steal him out from under their noses

Because Franklin knows that if he is choosing between UT, AU, and Vandy, he sure as hell ain't choosing Vandy.

I mean, that would be essentially what UK did for Cobb. We expressed interest too late, and he went up there and became a star.

Hopefully the same happens with Ford.

Just in the limited amount of highlights I've seen, I actually like this kid better than D. Green. Ford and one of Barber/Kemp would be just fine with me. I really don't want to see him go to Vandy.

God Franklin is an ego-maniac. And a tool. And a total moron.

I don't like the idea of him visiting Auburn.

I think that's where he will end up.

James Franklin: "Auburn???... Wait, Tigers???? I can do that!!!"

Jay Graham was hopping around the South on Tuesday as he started his day off in Florida seeing Jojo Kemp and ended it in Alabama checking in on Johnathan Ford. It's looking more and more like Kemp won't make the visit this weekend, but until Kemp himself says it's 100 percent off, you can't rule it out.

With Ford, Tennessee continues to be the hot team with him, but some around him want him to look at Auburn and it's possible he makes an official visit there and it could get close.
