Bama has deep pockets and a way that has yet to get them caught. Don't think cash isn't flying at the Capstone. Ever since I saw Julio driving a pimped out Escalade as a Freshman, with his only parent, Mom, working at Church's fried chicken...it's obvious and only a matter of time until they get caught.
Prattvillevol, the NCAA will not do anything about Bama until a group of coaches are willing to put their reputation on the line like Spurrier, Nutt, and Fulmer did. And then they are subjected to character assassination. I wish the NCAA would come in and clean up the SEC. It would be a better league.

We could pull a reverse Franklin on him. Threaten to stop recruiting him if he doesn't decommit from Vandy today.
Personally think that little stunt from Franklin should have been enough for Ford to say "Thanks, but no thanks" to Vandy.
It's just selective enforcement. He does it to strong-arm the lesser esteemed recruits with not as many offers. Then, if one of their top recruits visits others and de-commits, he can claim he cut him loose because of lack of integrity or whatever.
-Rivals.com"Ford was on the outside looking in for his fourth star," Codrington said. "His senior season went well as he ran for 1,466 yards and 24 touchdowns on 109 carries in eight games. The Vanderbilt pledge was a standout at the Alabama-Mississippi All-Star Classic and showed why he is the top-rated running back in the Yellowhammer State. He has a rocked-out body to go with above-average linear speed. Ford has a great feel for the game and knows how to set up blocks. In the all-star event, his best run came on a third-and-long draw play with his team holding a five-point lead. He was able to bounce to the edge, break a tackle and pick up a crucial first down that allowed his team to run out the clock. It's his reliable running ability and field awareness that proved he deserved a jump following his senior campaign."
