'13 AL RB Johnathan Ford (no longer a Vandy commit)

You've never heard their cheer, "Rammer, jammer, yellowhammer, give em hell Alabama?"

The state bird of Alabama is the Yellowhammer woodpecker....

Ask any Alabubba fan who lives outside the state of AL (and most who live in the state of AL) what a "yellowhammer" is and they can't tell you.:p

FWIW his coach is pushing him to visit to get some "recognition and prestige" to the high school and town.

God knows they need it. They only have one stop light in the entire town. If I was him, I would do the same thing. Rudy is probably the biggest thing to come out of there in a while

I really don't think fortenberry failing to mention Vandy in that update means that they're not involved. He's still committed after all.

"From talking to several people around Ford and to Ford himself after the visit we still believe Tennessee has put itself in a very good position. We're even hearing he may make an unofficial visit this weekend to see the Vols again. Something we'll have to wait and see if it takes place. But, I think some around him really like Auburn and are encouraging him to visit before signing day. Vanderbilt is still very much alive but I don't think they're sitting in a good position with Ford right now."

Vaguely...I guess I just never paid that close of attention to it.

Strange place...they have an elephant for a mascot and a cheer about a woodpecker. But, as we all know, a lot of bad decisions are made late at night while drinking a ****load of beer...

According to auburn rivals site his high school coach said yesterday that he is "firm to Vandy. Loves there program. And has been clear about this to other schools he has OVd."

Give me Ford and Barber and call it a day. I would love to have Green but I am not liking what I am hearing about Green. In the end I think that Green to MI but Ford and Barber to UT.

I wouldn't complain one bit if that ends up being the case.

Some of you have reading comprehension difficulties. Bruin, you're literally putting words in Fortenberry's mouth.
