'12 VA DT Korren Kirven (Bama signee)

Why are you worried about his ankle fx?

If Bama is out, maybe VT backs off due to ankle fx, then UT is his remaining top 3 :)

May be best ankle fx ever!!! Sorry Kirven, trying to look on the bright side.

We get it, you're a doctor. A very creepy doctor :)

Creepy? Confident that our trainers and CRM can get him in to shape quickly despite the fracture.

Okay, how bout optimistic opportunistic VFL creepy doctor...I can live with that title if Kirven signs with UT :)

I was talking about your use of these guys :)

If there was no limit, Otha Peters would be at LSU and McCullers would be Bama bound. Who knows if some of our commits wouldnt get the full court press from Bama and LSU if they had room for them. We are getting all-conference type players right now because of the limit.

did you graduate from UTMEM Med school?

I go to Quillen at ETSU.

Nope to either. Undergrad at UT. Went to Ross University Med School.

Did internship at Methodist in Memphis (hometown)
Residency at Univ of TX, Southwestern Med Ctr in Dallas (Parkland Memorial Hospital)

Now practice in Arlington, TX

What year are you?

Merry Christmas btw!

thats great. went to UTC undergrad, UT for a year (2005), now a second year at Quillen. From Houston originally, but hope to end up in Knoxville so I can watch the Vols!

Merry Xmas to all.

????
I am not using any guys. He broke his ankle.
LaTroy Lewis got hurt this season, but Coach Dooley did not pull his scholarship offer like many many other schools would do. I meant that even if the other 2 of his top 3 pulled back, I did not think the UT staff would. Poorly worded initially by me, sorry.

Little known secret. If you do residency at UT Med Ctr in Knoxville, you are considered UT staff and qualify to buy season tickets at staff rates without the hefty donation requirements.

My wife did her residency there, I got great seats in section S. (still donated to Vol athletic dept, but it was nice not to HAVE to)
Was there 1997 through 2000, those were great years to get to have season tickets!

Second year was a beating...third year gets fun. Work your arse off in the hospital rotations. That is where you start to become a doc :)

I was in town for the UT/Cincy game this year and felt terrible, ended up at the Medical Center got fluids and some Potassium, they told me about that little "rule" they got going on. I just couldn't imagine how awesome it would be to work there and watch games.

Not only that, we Could probably redshirt him anyways to make sure his ankle is up to par.

We could probably redshir kirven and o brien would be nice to be able to have two four year juniors or poss five year seniors if they don't go pro early at dt plus dooley redshirts taylor and lewis then we could have a whole dline in the future be five year seniors

Kirven is definitely a redshirt candidate. As a program, we have to get to the position of redshirting 80% of incoming freshmen linemen. That is how you get to Atlanta in December.

I thought you got there by winning the SEC East...

It amazes me that recruites know UT needs players at DT and yet, we still can't land very many. O'Brien and Sentimore could be the two most important recruits of this class.

I was also able to catch up with Korren Kirven who's having to sit out the even with a broken fibula he suffered in his team's state semifinal game. He'll be visiting Tennessee Jan. 13 and I really think he likes Tennessee a lot.

I asked him about the Brookeville connection to Virginia Tech and he said only two guys have been there. He admitted a lot of people around him want him at Tech, but he's a very articulate guy and made it seem his decision was his own.

Not saying Tennessee leads or anything, but I don't think it's a done deal for him to go to Tech.
