As much as I want Dalton, NSD is there for a reason. To place a deadline on decisions. He's free to make his at any time, but isnt tied to it until NSD or he signs on the dotted line. Neither has occured as of this moment.

Stop the malice towards the boy. He has a right to make his decision based on all information available to him up, and until, he signs his papers.

I don't care where he signs, I just want to him to make a good decision for himself. I was posting in reference to the poster that compared this situation to the OSU situation. Do yourself a favor and read next time. If he goes to tu i am sure he will be successful, and his family will be happier i am sure.

No matter where Santos goes I'm going to be a big fan.
He has provided VN with the best thread ever so far. Every thing from classic trolling and gullible believers, to gay jokes, to drunk rants, love letters, and awesome gif's. And to think, we have almost a whole week more of this awesomeness! Heck, I'm thinking about cracking out the Jack tonight and getting on here, just to get in on the action.
Kudos to you keyboard ninjas, you make Volnation a better place!

Exactly, he's a kid. Let it be.

Like I said on another thread, if he doesn't want to be here, then we really don't want him. We don't want to spend time and money developing him if he's gonna leave after a year or so.

I only want him here if this is where he wants to be.

I take everything I read on here with a grain of salt. However, every quote I've heard/read directly from Santos is that he loves UT but has been a life long Texas fan.

I'm sure there will be a meltdown on here if/when he de-commits from here but I think if that happens it has nothing with him not wanting to be here and everything with him wanting to play for the team he's be a fan of all his life.

I can't blame him for that.

Now...that being said....Texas coming in at the 11th hour like this would would be cause for pause if it were me or my son...even if it were UT. I would have some very pointed and direct questions for the staff if I were in the Santos' shoes, not to be disrespectful but because I would want to know their intentions, specifically why they waited so long to extend an offer and whether my son was just filler for their roster...

If I got even an inkling of them patronizing me or my son....we stick with our current commitment and never look back. However, if I hear everything I need to hear in order for me to feel comfortable--I leave the decision to my son but we talk about it as a family and make it clear that this is his decision.

That's just how I would do it....

I could do without the redundant love letters from the baby with the tattoo but that's just me.

Oh I don't know that's part of what make's it so beautiful. I mean, who doesn't like babies with tattoos, and who wouldn't really want to receive a love letter from one.
Not to mention we have claymation Art Garfunkel on here from Texas pulling for us to get a recruit from Rutgers, so he won't feel bad about taking Santos.
I couldn't make this stuff up if I wanted to.

Exactly what repercussions would he even face? None. I dont agree with the foolish decree.

There are no repercussions. But I've followed his recruitment since June and his Dad hasn't been very outspoken about many things so why would he all of a sudden come stir the pot on VN? Especially if Dalton is keeping quiet for the time being. I could get on here and make an account saying I'm Kris Jenner and would probably be able to charge some of the posters here for my daughters' phone numbers. It's the internet.. You can be whoever you want. That guy is trolling, man. I promise you.

I knew you had some better sense hidden away.

Solid post.

That's my daughter when she was a week old...I know she's beautiful, isn't she?! If you don't like my comments, then hit the ignore button, so that you don't read them. And if you don't like her picture, then don't look at it. Simple enough? There are many posters on this forum that are redundant...maybe because there are idiots on here that require numerous posts to get the point across to them.
Dalton should honor his commitment and go to OSU because that's where he committed first, right? It wasn't a big deal when he decommited from them to commit to Tennessee but now he's such a bad kid because he is doing what you were ok with the first time?
ouch getting called out by skeeter.

Your daughter is beautiful and it is a blessing to have any baby and especially a healthy one.
Don't take it personal, I think most of us are just trying to be lighthearted and have some fun, while still following our favorite team. I don't think anyone really has a problem with your baby's picture.

And even if they truly do have a problem, **** 'em.

Santos has not decommitted to Tennessee, His dad has but Dalton has not.

This may change this weekend....Who knows....Who really cares....Lambert would be a great back filler for him if we can get him....

People want control of these kids and their decisions....Santos committment video stated clearly why he chose Tennessee over the other schools....The SEC...

Texas has probably been upfront with him already ...He probably doesn't like it.....but his dad is all over it.....

I don't see him as a DE but TX evidently does....You want that kid in the middle of the defense because of his vision and his field presence....which is a gift.

The Hook em horn sign photo and playing for Texas is an honor to Texas Kids.....It is instant celebrity and we know what that is like at that age....Texas never even considered him until dates backed out on them...

Some of the TX boards and fans are questioning the offer themselves....and one board discussed him being a project...that he was a project and would be one.....

With all this....who knows....I like Lambert....don't know if Texas has room for him but it will make no difference on Wednesday....

If this kid wants to go to TEXAS let him go....Prove to him down the road in years to come what a mistake it was....for him to do so....and do it with class....Don't trash him out or his family, just stick it to them on the field with other players at Tennessee....

In the back of his mind he will know without us ever stating another word about him or to him....

There is more than one Santos in this class. Right now we are sitting on a gold mine both new and old....

Well said:good!:

The SEC fits Dalton's mold better and if he wants to venture into a DE/OLB no mans land then go nuts.
As was said yesterday, the projected starting MLB for Texas next season is 6'3" 255 and Texa has several other LBs in the 240s.

If I'm a LB with a passion or hitting people in the mouth then there is no way I'd go to Texas because those moments will be fewer.
That is just silly.

No matter what you think of Mack Brown as a coach, he is a genius recruiter and a world-class salesman and that is why he makes over $5 million a year. The guy could sell ice to an eskimo. In 10 minutes he would have anyone on this board ready to suit up and play for Texas.

Not to mention we have claymation Art Garfunkel on here from Texas pulling for us to get a recruit from Rutgers, so he won't feel bad about taking Santos.

I have no pity or remorse when it comes to football.....only schadenfreude. That is why my favorite activity on any Saturday is to open a beer and to log on to TexAgs when the aggies are having a 2nd half collapse. I know you guys think this place is bonkers but this is nothing compared to the aggie boards.

You are living in your own world. These ideas that Texas would only play him at DE and he wouldn't play at Texas for years and that his Dad is forcing him to be a Longhorn have no basis in fact. You have read them 50 times on this thread and have convinced yourself of their veracity.

DS was all about the SEC BEFORE Texas offered. You are smart enough to put 2 & 2 together. Be happy for the young man, he is going to his dream destination.

Well said. But mainly thank you for breaking up ur post in sections. :good!:

I wish the guy with the tatted up baby avatar would do the same, because his posts are just one big blob of letters after the first sentence and half.

Is that a signature on the picture for the company or a tat? I always chuckle thinking it's a tat.

You have proven time and time again you are arrorgant, not very bright, a troll, a waste of air and why we should screen certain members on this site and stop the posting privileges for people like you...

Most of us do not care about texas, the B12 or whatever you have brought to the table or board

Leave....Your prescence his is not warranted welcomed or needed.....I don't use ignore buttons.....

Although in your posts you have basically confirmed about 99.9% that you are a pretty dumb Texas fan....

I now know why you are here because even Texas fans don't like you.....

Beware of computer crashes.
