I don't know what you are hearing but this has been a Texas house his whole life. Texas didn't offer which is why Dalton was going to go to OK St. Then Tennessee came calling and he knew that Tennessee was the better choice. Tennessee>>>>Ok St. But when Texas came with an offer......well lets to say he's been waiting his whole life for that offer.
If you truly are Dalton's father, sir, I would encourage you to take a look at Randall Cobb. I went to high school with him about 20 minutes south of Knoxville. UT didn't offer him til way late in the process, when he was already committed to Kentucky. Know he would've loved to put on Big Orange, but his heart was already with the 'Cats. We lamented the fact he wasn't at UT all his 3 years at UK, but looking back, I know it afforded him opportunities he would've never had at Tennessee. He's playing for the Green Bay Packers now.

I understand state loyalty and I have respect for that, but IMO a kid like Dalton deserves a school that is committed to him, not one that sees him as a signing class filler.

Thanks :hi:

He could post a picture of himself holding up a piece of paper with the date and saying Hi VolNation or something like that.

Sorry to bust your bubble, but Tennessee recruit's attitudes toward UT and Texas recruit's attitudes toward UTex are very different. I haven't lived in Texas, but it seems that if they want you, they will sign you. Most kids grow up all around Texas fans. Either that or aTm, Oklahoma, Ok State, etc. The allure is stronger there toward those schools than it is here for UT IMO.

So your telling me there's a chance.....

To answer the other posters, Dalton is going to play it close to the vest until after he visits Austin this weekend. I know they are going to have other recruits in too. We have been assured there will be a spot for him so I guess we'll see how it all pans out. I'm not going to lie, I would like to see him in the burnt orange.

Well we'd truly hate to lose him, but if he thinks Texas is the right fit for him then by all means he should go there. At the same time, it should be his decision and his decision alone.
