a lot of the truth in what is said is misconstrued because of the limitations that, text over the internet, can't relay human emotion as it would be preferred in person with facial expressions. sentence structure and introduction of emoticons make the biggest difference, but i dont think saying one word or another in a flat sentence, makes you seem disinterested or not engaged.
