We will be a fine football team and field a fine class with or without him, preferably, with him.

IMO, this is not a Santos related issue, as much as it is one where we will likely have some empty scholarships available at the end and they want to sign a 25 man class.

I just read where he said that he doesn't know who his parents talk to all the time but that was absolutely not true. He said he "loved every second of the 48 hours" that he was there.

Ok.....

That doesn't mean he is going there. He has ruled them out. Are you a closet Arkansas fan?

He's been a leader in every level of football. From pee wee on he has called defenses and been the go to guy. So the freshman class doesn't need a mouthpiece and a voice to push them all to get better? Plus it's not like the current team is loaded with Seniors top to bottom. I'm sorry, I disagree. It's very, very hard to make someone a leader. You either have it, or more than likely you don't.

This. It's extremely difficult to teach someone to be a leader. If you have the answer, I'm sure thousands of management professors and psychologists would love to know how to do it.

I've got a feeling the young leaders are already on the team especially the defense. AJ looks like he could be our undisputed leader on defense. Who wouldn't respond to him on that defense? Santos maybe gone but my favorite LB prospect Otha is still on the ship. LehGO

Yes my point exactly.....AJ and several other will assume this role long before Santos gets his shot...

But basically you cannot be a leader until you totally proficient at your positon in the system that you play...

Furthermore, alot of you don't understand about the adjustments this kids make....the first time away from home...etc...

you fit the slogan well "Hire a teenager because he knows everything because when he turns 20 he won't know ish."

You are either a leader or not....but this team is developing leaders and you right the team does not need a freshman mouthpiece....this is not a labor union...

He may develop but he may not...Natural born maybe but would be wise to listen and learn...and not use you as his spokesperson...

Don't do it. You make valuable contributions. Fijivol doesn't... and would likely come back under a different name anyway.

chiming in like little sheep. Dooley is the man is about the total of your combined contributions. All fluff defenses that mean nothing but trying to get other sheep to follow.

You're joking, right?! All I know is that he sounded way more excited about Arkansas than Texas. I hope that is the case ONLY because I am more confident that our staff can win him over if Arkansas is the greatest threat. Not sayin we can't get Santos from Texas but Arkansas would be an easier battle to fight. Me? An Arkansas fan.....REALLY?!
