Also, please let me know when recruiting or where a kid goes to to play college football in anyway affects your family or my family's ability to pay the mortgage, take care of the kids, be successful at your job, changes the course of the country, etc.........

Texas has a chance but not nearly as much as Arkansas. They "wowed" him this weekend. He swore they were not out of the question by any stretch of the imagination. We've weathered the storm with aTm so we should be able to overcome Arky...............right?

Dalton already said that the Ark visit was really nice but that he would not be going there. It's going to be Vols or Horns. And that's the bottom line cause Stone Cold said so.

There's a direct quote from his dad saying they had fun but Arkansas was out.

We should be ok. I think Smith could move to LB as well. It would just be icing on the cake if we get Santos. I'm fine with him choosing a dream school. Most of us would if given the chance.

Im in Dallas and I can definitely see the draw kids have to Texas. That being said, Santos is hard for me to read. He really seems to like the attention and taking visits but he has still kept his commitment to the Vols. Id say that if he really decided to go to Texas he will let the coaches know Monday he won't wiat till NSD. I'd say 60/40 Vols right now.

Again, this is like HS Dating....what more would you expect.....Some has to do with the traditional values that are instilled in kids by parents...

This is such a cat an mouse game...My read on Santos is that he was or is still committed to Tennessee but this is taking the absolute toll on him with the offer to Texas.

I am sure he will sit down with parents and do a logical analysis to determine where he needs to be....When he announced he was coming to Tennessee he stated he struggled at night with the decision....Does this mean he is struggling now....We don't know....

All of us feel like whores in this process, the recruits, the university and the fans....Some have a tendency to rev up the emotional and drama side of it....

It is what it is....The nerve of Texas doing this who do they think they are.....Foul I say Foul.....No It is Texas.....He either stays with the one who brought him to the dance or allows himself to be a tool....

There will be more dances in the future and more recruits to court....If he walks it is for the best and if he stays it will be for the best....It is more fun being chased than being the Chaser...

Bottom line is don't chase....and don't Wh00000re yourself out.....

None taken bro.........but some of these guys act like if they lose this kid they are losing out on Ray Lewis.

We're a prideful fanbase ( rightfully so ), so to make a kid one of the main priorities in your upcoming class and have him committed for as long as Santos has been with us, only to see Texas swoop in the last minute is disturbing.

I'm pretty sure if D.J. Humphries were to all of a sudden start leaning another way at this point you would be a little pissed too.

100%. I don't think he would've liked that one bit.

Just for some perspective:

With out current numbers crunch and Santos only being a 3 star, it's possible that losing him to Texas could improve our final class ranking. Obviously, there's a difference between improving the class and improving the ranking but it's worth pointing out that no matter how this goes the sky will be firmly in place for some time.

When did he say that? He was all in love with Arkansas over on Scout. Not doubting you. Scout is kinda pathetic with some stuff

I would love to see this kid in the right orange, but at this pt I just care about him telling us ASAP what he is going to do. After all the love we gave him and his family we should at least deserve that. If he comes out after his visit and switches it is what it is, and best of luck to him. If he dangles it out there until NSD and switches then I will be pissed.

It's gonna be a tough call for him though. When utx comes knocking on a tx kids door the fine china comes out...

I live mortgage/feeding kids/job etc. I come on here for a little comic relief. Please don't discourage it. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Yea but the only control we have of the situation is on ourselves....We get to wrapped up in the emotional side of this year in and year out drama....

Some go the extra mile and start talking trash about the family and the recruit.... You can help that a recruit does not have the power or tools to make a life changing decision... Add to it the coaches pouring in the door and the parents or friends it is instant celebrity and nobody wants to be last picked or to settle.....Some have egos and play games....Santo's recruitment has been dead up until the last month and a half because of his commitment to UTK....Let him have his fun and wait and see what he does.....
