When did the NCAA put in a clause that disallows you from recruiting a kid if you started late?

I wouldn't take it so personally. I highly doubt Texas is doing this just to piss UT off...

Never said they did..Just saying should have recruiting him sooner since he is so sought after.:hi:

The part about Mack Brown was a joke.:wink2:

Im in Dallas and I can definitely see the draw kids have to Texas. That being said, Santos is hard for me to read. He really seems to like the attention and taking visits but he has still kept his commitment to the Vols. Id say that if he really decided to go to Texas he will let the coaches know Monday he won't wiat till NSD. I'd say 60/40 Vols right now.

This happened to a Mizzou recruit by the name of Chase Daniel a few years back. Missouri was his first offer and he committed after falling in love with the campus and program. At the 11th hour Texas came in and gave him an offer and he said thanks, but no thanks. Dalton strikes me as an individual that shares some characteristics with Chase - Texas kid from a great family, lots of success, carries himself with confidence but is not overly arrogant. Hopefully, Dalton gives texas the same thanks but no thanks.

Santos doesn't come across as a recruit who wants to be someones 2nd or 3rd choice which is exactly what he is for Texas. Guess we're going to find out soon.

He's a recruit who has been committed to a million different schools and has waivered a million times while committed to UT - wouldn't count on him turning down his home state school.

It's not hard to see it coming when he had already been committed to 2 different schools before he committed here.

None taken bro.........but some of these guys act like if they lose this kid they are losing out on Ray Lewis.

If we didn't have more good young LBs, I might be more upset if we lose him. Don't get me wrong, I hope we land him, but we could use another good DT, RB or CB just as much.

Texas has a chance but not nearly as much as Arkansas. They "wowed" him this weekend. He swore they were not out of the question by any stretch of the imagination. We've weathered the storm with aTm so we should be able to overcome Arky...............right?

His mom has wanted him to stay in state. Growing up a Texas fan doesn't help the cause. I don't like where this is heading but thankfully it will be over in about 9 days one way or the other.
