I think WR might be the bigger need. We have some good young ones, but no one is proven, and there isn't that much depth.

Still, all of the offensive needs take a serious backseat to the defensive front seven.

A) runningback =/= speedback
A speed back would add a much needed new dimension to our offense.
B) what would you contend to be a bigger offensive need?

A while ago he contended that he would commit to vandy but didn't - then he left us out of his top 3. Rumors have been going around that Vandy would be getting big commitments soon and now he's announcing next week with us in the top 5.

Rumor that he's going to Vandy. Rumor that he's going to Cincy or ND. Rumor that we've backed off. Lots of people challenging rumor #3. Announced that he's choosing soon between UT, Vandy, Cincy, Auburn, and Mississippi State.

Well - this could be bad news. Niebuhr just tweeted that Azubike is announcing late next week as well between BC, Ms St and Vandy. There has been a rumor that a bunch of guys would announce for Vandy...this could be it.

If he's still camping at UT in July, I'm not that concerned.

I would argue we have about 4-5 guys who could do it. If we are talking about just RBs....then I would say 3-4.

Hunter or Rogers could take an end around 80 yards.

Lane, Neal, or DY could easily do it from the RB position. I may even put Smith in there as in alot of his videos you can see him running away from Florida speed. You do not have to run a 4.3 to break a long run. OL & WR blocking plays a big part in busting a long run.

I disagree completely. They may be able to take it 80 yards on a straight run with great blocking. But none of them will make people miss in the open field and take it 80 yards. Tennessee does not have the kind of talent right now some of you like to imagine.

Meltdown over putting 2 and 2 together with the rumor that vandy will get a bunch of commitments - and now Kimbrow and Azubike are announcing at practically same time next week.

Yeah it can't be considered a loss if the guy was never offered by Tennessee.

With that said you have to give Vandy some credit though. They are actually landing guys now that had some very good offer lists. It's certaily better than I've ever seen them recruit.

Josh Dawson had offers from Georgia, Notre Dame, Virginia Tech, South Carolina and a bunch of others. That was a huge pickup for them and he's likely going to end up a 4-star. He would have been a huge pickup for anyone.

Darreon Herring, Jacob Sealand and Stephen Weatherly also had some really solid offer lists too.
