'12 NC OT D.J. Humphries

Don't hold out any hope, if you do you are setting yourself up for failure. The tone of Hubbs in the warroom was pretty clear, this one is over. He is never wrong when he says we aren't getting someone.

Griddie is the only one that knew what he has been talking about the whole time. Even DJ himself has said Florida is the leader for months now. Tennessee has never lead for Humprhies.

Bottom line is we have been trolled hard.

well this just isn't always the case...maybe today, but definitely not always. He's called them to other schools before and the Vols hit. Hubbs is usually very passive in his predictions...take them with a grain of salt

I think you need to begin getting worried when you are the early leader for kids like Santos and Humphries, not when you're trying to make up ground. If much of what has been said lately is true about the staff laying a good foundation for future recruits, that will be the true barometer of success in recruiting.

When rebuilding, you'd like to do it as quickly as possible, of course. But, the reality is it will be accomplished one brick at a time...as much as everyone would like the entire frigging building delivered at once, those are simply unreasonable expectations.

I agree rebuilding takes time, but it certainly wasn't unreasonable at Uf, Bama, and Auburn. I know our situation is different but if those teams can rebuild like they have we can to.

What I simply cannot understand is why do so many of you give such a **** over one single recruit who plays a position that we are NOT in dire need of?? If he goes to Florida....he goes to Florida. The destiny of our program is not severely altered either way. Our OL is talented and deep, albeit young. If Humphries goes to Florida, WE'LL BE OK!

2 reasons.

1. He's the #1 OL in the country.
2. Landing him would mean UT beat out UF for a top tier prospect. A head to head battle b/w Dooley and Muschamp would be won by the good guys.

Understand now?

Dooley 1 - Muschamp - 0 as of right now...

Yeah, and one 5* OL is not going to make or break our program. Get some freaking perspective!

I think it is more important that DJ doesn't go to Florida. Their weakness is at the offensive line.. we don't want that to become a strength. TN would easily have the best offensive line in the SEC with a commitment from DJ Humphries today and then QB and RB's would follow.
