I made this prediction back on February 3, my first and only recruiting prediction this year. I stick by it. Of course he liked his visit to Michigan. What did he have to say to please some of the badmouthers who have posted on this, "Michigan is a hell hole?" Let him make his visits and have some fun, then paint the rock for him when he visits UT. In short, show this kid some love and he is a Vol.

By prediction, you mean guess?

Show me evidence that slightly proves he's a UM lean. Everything has pointed to UT leading. He loved the gameday experience, and everyone in the country watching the game did, too. He gave a very pro-UM interview after the game. Duh. The hype will wear off like it does with most recruits. He's taking his time, and not a whole lot has changed, IMO. He likes UM. But all evidence has proved he likes UT more.

All fair points, and I hope you're right. Just saying the last couple of weeks he's been at Michigan and is raving about it. Given I don't have any inside info, that sounds like he is certainly fond of Michigan. I want him to be a Vol, believe me.

An educated guess maybe. Tennessee's was O'Brien's very first offer and one of Tennessee's very first offers. O'Brien spoke highly of UT from the very beginning, and he is clearly a priority prospect. No, I'm not like those posters who fly off with one line posts that have no basis in fact, or just like to hide behind a computer and make snide comments.

Most of all, I am not one to bad mouth (and very possibly turn off) a prospect just because he visits and/or considers other schools. If I were a recruiting prospect and read a thread on me with nasty (not to mention stupid) posts like that, I would certainly be turned off. None of these kids owe us anything. Give them a break.

Recruiting is full of ups and downs and some guys will come to UT that are not on the radar yet(Maggit). We have done a great job on O'Brien, we got on him early and have stayed on him, we should be OK.

If he was going to Michigan, there is no reason he would not have committed in that atmosphere. We are still in very good shape if he thought highly enough about UT that it kept him from committing while there.

He may have wanted his moment in the spot light and have the suspense of putting on a hat rather than committing at a game.

I really hope that we can get another high school DT to go along with O'Brien. I like Jacobs and maybe Sentimore (assuming he were to move inside, otherwise I'd rather take just Autry) but we need another high schooler to develop, IMO.

After argueing with you in the HS Forum, I couldn't agree more with the point you made here. He wants the spotlight. +1

heard on raido (bill king) 24/7 sports guy made it sound like Mich n Mich ST battle barley said anything about Tenn n Alabama

Bill King has become totally irrelevant in the world of college football recruiting information. I am shocked that he still has a pulpit to spew his anti-Vols agenda. My two yard dogs know as much about recruiting as he does anymore and I've seen both of them sleep in the rain 3 feet away from their dog houses.

How many times will it let me like this post?
