O'Brien will come down to Tenn, Michigan and MSU...The gap has certainly closed as Tenn has come back to the pack. A big thing to watch for will be where his best friend Matt Godin ends up.He's a DE out of Powerhouse Detroit Catholic Central who is deciding on the 12th between MSU and Michigan. Surprised UT didn't at least try and get Godin on campus to help in their efforts with the more heralded O'Brien
back to the pack mean that UT was well out in front, but the gap has since closed. UT still leading but not as far out in front as before.
The idea that Michigan has stopped recruiting him is just ignorant. They are in communication regularly and there is interest on both sides.
Not true. UT has a lead. Gap is wider than you suggest and O'Brien wants to play in the SEC. This is a UT-Bama race in the end most unbiased sources will tell you.
Thanks CFBFan. That's good news to us down here. I hope the board is relevant to your interests so you can join in on this wonderful recruiting discourse we have here.Have to agree with Saban, if Mich is in contact it is very recent or not much at all. It between UT and bama, but UT has a huge lead IMO, he is always wearing UT gear.

Right. I take it to mean that UT is the team to beat, but he doesn't want to end his recruitment yet so he's trying not to exclude other schools. It's been known for awhile that UT is the favorite for O'Brien. To follow that up, though, with "but he's completely open" means absolutely nothing.
Every uncommitted prospect, to some degree, is still open. Actually everyone can be considered "open" until they've faxed in a NLI. That's just the truth.
Bottom line: O'Brien has been saying UT is up there and that won't change anytime soon.
