Yea is Goldman even realistic to have on the board? I see no mention of Tennessee at all from him. Unless they are hoping for big things with him this summer/fall.

i don't think we have much of a chance, but his name is sitting at the top of the DT board and we are trying with him. we visited his school last week.

Isn't this what everyone loved about Kiffin and O? I say if he is our #1 DT go after him hard, just don't neglect options 2-10 in the process:good!:

Tennessee has no chance with Goldman.

Jmoore was clearly talking about the #1 guy on the DT board that they actually have a chance with when he said that about O'Brien.

"Tennessee is probably recruiting me the hardest," O'Brien said. "They've told me I'm the number one guy on the board for all positions because they're trying to rebuild that defensive line.

"Same thing for Michigan State. They're trying to get some inside guys for the defensive line. They said if they get me they'll probably get another end or inside guy and then they'll be done on the line."

"Location has nothing to do with my decision," he said. "Wherever I go, across the country or here at home, I have to feel comfortable. It's about academics, facilities and coaches. It's got to be good for me. I'm the one that's got to be there for four or five years. It's just about being comfortable."

If someone actually saw our board, they should not be discussing it openly on message boards. It is not helpful to the staff or to the players.

I desperately want O'Brien.

Last year we missed on Jernigan and Gabe Wright but got Mo Couch.

I think this year O'Brien will be joined by 2 studs. Shanks, Kirven etc are all possible.

I don't see how it hurts for someone to know Goldman is #1. Every school in American wants him anyways.

He's like Tennessee for along time. Nothing has changed with Tennessee. They are recruiting him the hardest. He has always said he wants to be sure which is why he's going to take some visits and certainly the Alabama offer got his attention. He doesn't seem close to a decision right now.

We've been saying this about the DT position for about 4 years. When are people going to figure out that early playing time isn't important to every prospect? Besides, most linemen aren't college-ready the day they first set foot on campus anyway.
