Does anyone know our plan with Peterman? As in, are we gonna redshirt him his first year? I think we should. We have Worley right now as Brays backup and the chances of both getting hurt are pretty low (knocks on wood). Anybody heard anything?
There is only speculation. However, I suspect that they may redshirt at the end of the season, assuming he hasn't taken any snaps. I think it has been Dooley's policy to only assign redshirt status after the season.
I see. Makes sense, but I don't get the waiiting part. You can always declare redshirt status at the beginning of the year and still pull it if needed at anytime.
it's useless and accomplishes nothing to declare a redshirt before the end of the season
in the last 20 years I've witnessed the #1 and #2 qb's for UT go down twice. If #3 was a true freshman that had been told he was going to redshirt does he still put in the work required to be ready?

It seemed like Worley wasn't ready for this very reason.
I know Nate has all the physical tools needed to be a great qb....IYO would you also call him a "student of the game"?
