Has this been posted yet?
"I committed to them about an hour ago (10 p.m. ET)," Lanier said. "It feels great to have it done. Coach (Terry) Joseph has been great.
"Like I said, he never backed off.
I loved the coaches and the surroundings up there when I visited. I just decided there was nothing else to look at. The best opportunity was at Tennessee and they made it clear how much they wanted me."

Lanier thought he could still make it as an EE (being able to sign early was a condition of the offer), but his grades said otherwise... Once the staff saw he wouldn't make the grades in time, the offer was pulled... There was no way he was going to make it in... AU signed this kid out of HS and he was our very first commit in this class(maybe 2nd)... I can promise you he was AU's if we wanted him... This by no means a knock on UT or UF or even Lanier, for that matter... Like I said above, he is one hell of an athlete that will help out the Vols tremendously... Great pull for them...
We now have 5 spots remaining.
Three will be filled by Richardson, Clear, and Lane. That leaves two spots for someone not named Gabe Wright. If he chooses the Vols it will cancel out as Carson will not be a Vol.
2 spots for: Byron Moore, Lamar Dawson, Kent Turene, Rory Anderson, Geraldo Orta, or anybody else.
There is also a possibility Lanier is not a Vol, as he has changed his mind many times already.
