No, thank you. You are clearly a Volnation favorite and you make it easy for us to feel that way. I can not wait for the fall. :loco:

The obvious love that Couch, Posey, Martin, and others have for all things UT makes me real excited about the future! I love those young men for bleeding orange!!

This. They know it's about more than just football. Kids like them will give everything they have to Tennessee on and off the field.

This is one thing I LOVE about Dooley's method of selling the school instead of the exclusively the coaching staff. Dunno how that love for UT shows up on the field, but it's good to see as a fan. I'd also imagine it may cut down on transfers.

Malik will slide back out. IMO. Hughes and Couch will be a great tandem.

Malik was our best tackle. It's hard to imagine him moving back outside. Let's hope Montori decides to play like he is capable of.

Miller staying at de is more likely to happen. Hughes hadn't shown anything lately to make him consistent enough to start. Hughes may stay in the two deep.

Yeah Hughes has the best talent. But he hasn't matured yet and it is costing us a good player.

Who knows what's going to happen but Malik is our best option at both positions. I can actually see him playing both.

We've got to start him at D-tackle. J.Smith and Corey Miller will be alright with Ben Martin and Bohannon backing them up. And add in J.Williams to the mix I feel we'll be alright at DE. DT is a boat of unproven talent.

It may sound cheesy now, but if you think of the kind of impact Cam Newton had on the offense and Fairley had on defense...I personally think Couch's decision to play for the Vols will have a major impact on this team's ability to sneak up on the SEC (the way Saban did with Bama just 2yrs in, and Auburn did this year as well).

With Couch and Hughes starting, DT could be a strength, for the first time in years. Now, if we could luck out with both G. Wright and Mickey Johnson (pray he qualifies).

Hughes has got to play to his potential. Otherwise we'll be average to somewhat good at DT.

I could see Malik playing both. But YES he is a beast inside. Just think what he can do with better depth, not having to play 70+ snaps per game. By better depth I'm not just speaking of Couch and Hughes, I'm still thinking Marlon Walls will be pretty good. Our D-line should be pretty damn good next yr.

He will this spring, but I think Couch + Wright (and perhaps Mickey Johnson too) in this class would send him back to starting DE.

I don't think a freshmen dt will find it's way into the starting rotation this year. Maybe two deep. Only reason freshmen started this year was because there was no choice. Linemen usually need time to develop to able to play in the sec.

I agree with this. I was trying to think of the last Vol true freshman to start at DT. None come to mind.

Didn't miller start at dt for the Oregon game this year? And that was basically because what they had available was deemed as a "sack of potatoes."

Jackson is a DT no doubt...

Couch and Jackson should be very good at DT. The DLine wwill be our strength next yr no doubt.

I expect Miller to stay at DE and rotate w/ Martin.

We just need either Walls or Hughes to hit. We cant have both be busts. If one of them is good we will have 3 legit DT's. I look forward to having a good D-Line. It makes things easier on our LB's.
