Yes sir!!! The 2 day unofficial visit is huge imo.

I wouldn't get to excited about Wright just yet. He has changed his leader every visit or had a new top five after each. His mom has went on two visits now. The first one was to Auburn where she actually came out and named Aubrun her leader and GW said that Auburn moved to the top of his list. The other visit for his mom was to UT. Now after the visit they both seem to be high on UT but not as much as they were on Auburn. So a good visit that moved UT up but this kid wants attention and whatever school gives it to him he will take it. Which he should enjoy the process. I also doubt he decides before the AA games because he looks to make a big splash about his announcement. So his recruitment his far from over for whatever schools tries to get him.

In regards to Crowell he will end up at UGA. At once it was believed they were a package deal and until GW went on his UT visit they were visiting schools together. They went to the Barn, UGA and UA together amoung other schools. For whatever reason GW and UGA are not meant to be, but Crowell looks to be heading that direction. Crowell is a part of the UGA dream team CMR is selling.

Again along way off till NSD and alot will depend on what teams do during the season, especially UGA.

It his CMR selling pitch right now regrading the top targets on their board and Crowell is one of them. In an interview I sa last week I think in a GA paper Crowell talks about CMR telling him that this class might be their best and that a few players including Crowell will be the dream team of it that helps to bring UGA back to the top. The said part is the recruits are believing it. Maybe I am wrong and they will who knows.

I think we took a huge step with this player. In regards to what tide said, all big prospects love attention. Don't read into this too much. Yes, his recruitment is far from over. The school needs the player more than the player needs the school. That's the game you have to play a lot of the time with these players. Nevertheless, this is a guy UT needs a lot at the DT position. He obviously likes UT now, and he can find a lot of synergies by choosing the play his college football at UT.

It's not him that I'm worried about, it's his mother. IIRC, she actually cried during
his visit to AU. Secondly, he knows how to play the recruiting game as demonstrated by his interviews after each of his visits. I think we have a chance but it's going to be a hard pull.

We need CS to be on him harder than most. Stay in his ear about getting him to the next level while playing his college ball in the SEC. I would also throw LT on him too. That's pretty much like throwing the kitchen sink at him.

lol sounds like a last ditch effort to save his job...

Yeah they created their own Tiger Prowl that was called the Dream Team that sent like 7+ coaches to each school and showed each player how the class would look if the top players in state would sign with UGA. They told them where they each would play and where the other ones would also play and how it would be for UGA to have them all together and that it would be the top class in the country if they all signed with UGA.

But yes after UT and UA came in last year and took some of the best players instate and already lead for many more this year they are concerned for their jobs. It is one thing to not win the SEC, but add that to leting the best instate leave is really bad.

so do you think it will work? the whole dream team thing that is?

I think it appeals to them but I do think the season will determine alot for them in regards to recruiting, especially keeping the ones that do commit prior to the season. There is no hiding the fact that some fans want CMR gone and that he is on the hotseat and the recruits know that.

The best thing for a school like UT or UA for that matter is to continue to build these relationships with th recrutis. Even if they are leaning towards staying instate to UGA. Because if UGA unravels this fall they will be going elsewhere and they will remember who they had good relationships with and I think CDD does that well in regards to building strong relationships.

Also I think it would work in TN this year with the depth of the talent instate. Tell all of the top recruits how they could be the dream team that rebuilds UT together.

Also the other thing that scares me about UGA being unsuccessful and CMR gone is that Kirby Smart will probably be the new head coach. The reason most believe he did not go there this year as a DC. If there when CMR gets canned he might be gone to. So he is waiting for the HC job I believe. He is a good recruiter and coach for our staff.

it won't if Georgia underachieves again. If they have a good season like '07 then who knows.

Georgia always underachieves. They've had elite talent for years. It doesn't matter if they sign another Top 5 recruiting class, it will still be the same underachieving results.

Even in 07 they weren't even that great of of a team. They played a complete joke of a team in their bowl game. They didn't win the SEC East. They got their a$$es handed to them by Tennessee and their only really good win was against a Florida team with an injured Tebow.

and they finished 4th in the SEC East last year. Kentucky beat em hahahaha not to mention the drummin the Vols gave em.

their '07 season was still good. If Georgia was to win the Sugar Bowl this year then he'll probably pull the top kids to Georgia but if they have an 8 win season you'll see most of them leave.

This is what I was talking about the Dream Team and how it appeals to all the instate recruits in GA. This comes from an artilce where J Vaughters just named his top five and cut out 3 schools.

And they seem to be looking to get all the top players in Georgia to put together a team that can win a national championship. Their Dream Team concept makes sense to me.”

Out of all my final schools, I’d say I’m most comfortable with coach Jim Tressel as far as being there the whole time there.

Sounds like he is worried that Richt may not be there his junior or Senior year.

James Bryant just said on the Inside Tennessee radio show that he thinks will land Gabe Wright. He also told Wes Rucker that he would tell him why he thinks we get him off the air.

UGA's Rivals site asked Wright today about relationships he had with coaches and Chuck Smith was the first and ONLY coach he talked about. Talked really good about the Vols.
