Sad part is, IF they do sign the top players in ga, they could easily make a run for the top spot in recruiting. Ga is loaded this year but look for Wright and maybe Crowell to go to bama although their coach is an aubie and makes sure they all give the aub's a looksie. If ga has a good year, I look for Crowell to go to ga. Can we get them as a package deal to UT?

Crowell will go to Ga no matter what kind of season they have. First off, I expect Ga to have another average to below average year. I also expect Ga to land a highly rated class just like they always do. Their problem is not talent and never has been it is coaching. Richt is middle of the road at best as a coach.

Crowell has stated Auburn is nice but not for him. His coach wanted him to attend Big Cat weekend and he did not go. GW has actually surprised me. We have seemed to back off, but he could be both side doing that and after spending 3 days at Auburn I have not seen one quote from him about them being in the lead. Not like a few months ago. So apparantly BCW did not go to well as Barn fans were hoping. It also looks very clear now that they are not a package deal. That does not mean they will not end up together but they are visiting schools together anymore either. I would say UGA/UA for Crowell and UT/UA for GW with UT maybe having the best shot right now.

I think wherever Crowell goes, Bray will go to the other school. I would have said Bellamy instead of Bray but he wants immediate PT and he isn't getting that at UA or UGA. I think we in a good position for Bellamy if he wants PT. All three are good but Bray seems like a change of pace guy. Throw in Wilder if he doesn't go to FSU, and I think it will be round robin with these running backs, just hope we can snag one of them.

I would take 90 wins in Dooley's first 9 years.

I agree. In the long run, however, its hard to give reasons not to go to UA. I hope we stay on him.

Only its in Alabama and it is Alabama. Thats just a couple reasons off the top of my head. Are you a Tennessee fan????? OHHH i see your from Memphis , that explains it.

Phil Fulmer started out strong at Tennessee too. And he's Phil Fulmer Part II.

Except without the National Title. Richt I think is a much better recruiter but still allows a lot of elite players to get out of state and the difference there maybe the instate supply of talent for Richt.

Fulmer was an unbelievable recruiter in his first 8-10 years. Considering the lack of talent in Tennessee I'd give him the advantage. He landed a number of Top 3-5 classes in the 90's and even into the 2000's. But he also consistently began to underachieve with elite talent as the years went on...the exact same thing that is starting to happen with Richt.

Simply thinking logically and trying to put myself in a recruit's shoes. As a top recruit at the DT position, do I want to go to a program that is rebuilding with a new coaching staff, or do I want to play for the defending national champions under Saban?

Right now, I'm think of that commercial, "don't question my fanhood." Family grew up outside Knoxville in La Follette, TN, and my sister graduated from UT.

Sorry bout the Memphis dig then , my bad, just sounded like a typical Memphis mindset answer. I'm actually from Scott County so greetings old neighbor.:hi:....
however ..with that being said... Its still Alabama.

Agreed.

:hi:

No problem. It's true, Memphis "UT" fans are pretty fairweather. Now I have the luxury of listening to UM fans brag about the upcoming bball season. Most real UT fans, in west Tenn, live just outside Shelby county.

Crowell will end up at Bama IMO. UGA and FSU are pushing very hard, but I think he still ends up at Bama. Wright will be tougher to gauge but if Crowell does it soon he'll talk Wright into Bama as well.

bryant has no clue. media wasnt allowed to attend.

According to Gabe Wright himself they went at it a couple of times and it was pretty even.

"I didn't really know who he was until some of the guys told me," Wright said of the 312-pound Richardson. "He's a good player. I won my share and he got me a couple of times, too. It was a good battle and fun to get out there and compete."
