'10 IL WR Kyle Prater

wow must have took you some time... You forgot cj gable.. But regardless oklahoma has more stats, i understand that, otherwise usc would have broke all they records... However the competition in oklahoma conference is not defensively strong.

huh?

if we land Prater then i will be so excited, but if we dont we cant be mad or dissapointed because we have already pulled in Milton and Ambles and to me those two guys can be just as good if not better than Prater.

Yeah because those Pac-10 defenses are sooooooo strong.

Stronger than big 12... and oklahoma played ... Chattanooga, and Cincy..

USC doesn't play FCS schools, and wouldn't play an out of conference team like Cincy..

Big 12 teams aren't know for defense what so ever..
Pac-10 isn't a D powerhouse, but they are leaps and bounds stronger than the Big 12..

"I've built a really good relationship with the coaches at USC," said Prater when asked why USC is his top school. "I've been talking to Coach Norton and Coach Carroll and I want to get out there and check it out. I talk to Coach Morton a lot, I talk Coach Norton just about every other day and I just talked to Coach Carroll two days ago."

“I have been watching USC for a longtime and the players that they put out,” Prater told our own Kevin Carden back in early May. “They produce every year, so it’s a really good school and I have to strongly consider them as my choice. I like the big receivers they put out and the way they produce, and get them NFL-ready. That’s another key thing."

Scout.com: Prater heading West for a visit to USC

He is taking an unofficial to USC on August 10th and then going back there for an official on September 5th...

I am not liking these head to head battles with USC for recruits. Sounds like Prater to USC to me

It is going to be tough. We have to keep him uncommitted until he gets back for visit. Two trips in a row will be tough. If dad is really in our corner that is our biggest hope.

Who's SC's new O-Coordinator??? I know Sark left for Washington.

The WR coach, Morton.

As for Prater, I definitely think this will come down to another SC/UT battle and I have hope that we can win out this time. We have his dad in our corner right now, as well as his buddy, Zach Fulton.

From Brent Hubbs and some other sources:

Prater really liked his visit, but it was pretty clear that his dad liked it even more. Dad is an important figure in his recruitment and will definitely influence Kyle's decision.

Zack Fulton's dad, Glen, has been going on about how great UT is and what a perfect opportunity there is there for Kyle for awhile and the two dads are very close and it appears that Johnny, Prater's dad, is somewhat sold.

Here's the problem in all of this: Kyle has been a USC fan for a few years and some think that he has been planning to go there all along. His visit to USC will go far towards determining where he ends up.

It's a good sign for the VOLS to have this many head to head battles with SC. I think we're on every players radar now. I can't recall ever having this much hype ...GO VOLS

YES!!!!

We have a dad on our side.

im pretty sure it's jeremy bates, the former broncos QB coach

If he makes out of the USC visit w/o committing i really like our chances. I am hoping the expense of going all the way out to USC really hurts them.

Problem is he's going to USC twice in the next month.. For an unofficial and a official...

He is coming to UT on sept 12th right?
