'10 IL WR Kyle Prater

They got locked out because of their strength of schedule in each case...so how are you going to support that point?

they were locked out because of an asinine voting system. Touting UFs SOS from last season makes you look silly. The SEC east was awful and LSU had no QB. Conference as a whole was way down.

Well then UF should be locked out this year because of their strength of schedule. LSU and UT are probably the two hardest games they have this year.

If we are taking about this upcoming season... last season Georgia could have taken out USC. I don't know who would have won but I know that Georgia would have had a shot. I think Ole Miss last year could have pulled the upset also. LSU could have beatin USC when USC claimed they were co-champions. I believe Auburn could have beatin USC when they went 13-0. I believe Alabama in the next year or so could easily compete with USC. Alabama has had back to back #1 classes.
It's hard to explain Bama's bowl loss to Utah (although Utah probably would've surprised USC as well, IMHO...especially considering how Oregon State embarrassed SC last year when the media was bragging about how they were unstoppable...an NFL team, etc.).

But Bama was a damn tough team last year, and could've taken USC's lunch money if they got them in a bowl game

If USC played in the SEC they would still win at least 10 games a year at a minimum, yeah they lose games they shouldn't and it is usually to my delight. Those D-bags from Gainesville hardly ever have to go out of state for their OOC away games.

Which was the last big game that Carroll's squads have lost.

Those teams would gave theoretically had a chance, but they would most likely have had their teeth kicked in. TX was the lone big game letdown for them and it took some really odd happenings for TX to get that done.

USCs team last year was better than Oklahoma and could have beaten UF. Best team in the country IMHO

You're right. I just didn't know about Alabama after that disgusting showing against Utah. I just know with these past two classes that they know pretty much have the best talent in the country.

And yet it was still superior to USC's PAC-10 schedule. Argue against it all you want, but the people that matter locked USC out in each case. Maybe they will let you make the call this year. :birgits_giggle:

They were so damn good that they let a bunch of Beaver's steal their marbles...whoa! that's REAL good! :birgits_giggle:

No. I think it was UCLA(Maybe Oregon St.). They were playing their final game of the season I believe it was. All they had to do was win in they were in the championship. They lost. I would consider that a big game considering it cost them a National Championship bid. It might have been Oregon State though and it might have been the second to last game of the season. All I know was it cost them the national championship. I just don't believe USC would handle Florida or LSU's national championship with ease and I believe undefeated Auburn and Georgia's 1-3 loss teams could compete as well. Stanford may not be a big game for USC but in essence it's pretty big considering you probably won't get a championship bid if that's your only loss. Stanford is awful.

oh shoot i must have clicked on the wrong thread...i was looking for some kyle prater info, but i must have accidently gone to the usc vs. sec thread...weird.

Bama would not have beaten USC last season. That's ridiculous.

Neither would the Oregon State Beavers...what a ridiculous thought I had.:fool:

Read the topic guys..."Kyle Prater" You're wasting everyone's time who clicks on the this thread....focus.
Sorry...we just had some folks talking about how we had no chance to beat SC for Prater's commitment, since they are so glorious and unstoppable. I had to say something, cause I was about to :puke5:

Bama almost got handled by Kentucky last season. And Utah took them to them out back.

USC would have beat them up and down the field last year.

Just like they whooped up on the lowly Oregon State Beavers? :birgits_giggle:

And, FWIW, Utah would've been a tough fight for any team last year...they didn't get into a premier BCS bowl for nothing! Boise State had an undefeated team as well, and Utah got the BCS nod over them. We remember how Oklahoma man-handled Boise State two seasons ago, right? :)

You think Georgia would have beaten them last year but Alabama...who beat Georgia (and was up 31-0 at halftime)...needs to wait a few years to be at that level?

Looked it up just to make sure. It was the final game of the season. #2 USC(10-1) vs. UCLA(6-5). USC choked and blew their shot at a National Championship. USC doesn't win every game that counts : p.

YouTube - UCLA beats USC

Anyways, sorry for getting off topic to the people who are upset. Nothing new on Prater unless you hadn't heard that USC is currently the leader for him. Hence getting off topic about Prater and talking about USC. Oh yeah, he also changed his visit for the Ohio game. Sucks because he won't be here with Bray.

Also upset losses happen, that's CFB...it happened to Bama and USC last season. From a talent prospective Bama would have lost to USC if they had played last season, its that simple.

I hope you're not seriously trying to argue that Utah is better than USC based on two games. Especially when one of them happened two years ago and involved neither team.

Wanna know why Boise state had an undefeated season? They play teams like Idaho, Bowling Green, Louisiana Tech, New Mexico State, etc....

I'm surprised he hasn't tried to argue that Vanderbilt would beat USC because Stanford beat them two years ago.

I didn't say Georgia would beat them and I didn't say Alabama wouldn't beat them. I said I think Georgia could have competed with USC last year and that I didn't know who would win. The only reason I was hesitant on saying Alabama had a good shot at them was because of their miserable showing against Utah. Georgia took a beating from Alabama but they choked against a really talented team. Alabama didn't choke against a highly talented team. They choked against a bunch of 2* players. I don't think Georgia would lose to a team with so little talent. They ran over Hawaii and that Hawaii team was probably better than Utah. I don't know if that made sense to you... in other words, I think Georgia beats the teams they are suppose while teams like USC and Alabama. But yeah, I never said with certainty that Georgia would beat USC or Alabama couldn't beat them. After seeing the Utah game it's just.... idk.
