'10 GA OLB Michael Taylor

I have a bad feeling about Taylor. Just sucks that we showed him love when everyone else ran away, he wins an MVP in an All-Star game, and now wants 'greener pastures' it seems.

Florida has had it's share of above average players who left HS as 3 stars. One in particular was quite a thorn in UT's side.

as i saw on another thread recently, most gators come on here to get the latest news on our coach and to get an inside track on which of our recruits are being stolen.

We all know that you can't believe what most gators post on their own site.:good!:

Then I say...CYA! Don't let the door hit your tail on the way out.
As bad as we need LBs, do we really want one that might think somewhere else is "greener pastures"?

nothing but cold hard facts over here, which is why I like it here so much.

I just can't believe so many recruits are being lied to by Urban and the gator staff. You have to wonder if they've ever told the truth. am i doin it rite?

nole, very good point. i agree 100%...

First it was Notre Dame, and now it's Florida. Trust me, this staff won't let Taylor go anywhere. And his visit this weekend should only seal things up even more.

This = not good.

This weekend, Taylor decided to make a visit to Gainesville, Florida and check out the University of Florida Gators. The Gators have a desperate need at linebacker moving forward and have hired two linebacker coaches in defensive coordinator George Edwards and outside linebacker coach D.J. Durkin to coach and recruit the position. "Man I'm telling you I love it,” Taylor said Saturday during the trip. “My mom and I gotta talk. She is here that's why it's so big. She loves it and she is my inspiration."

Wait till Thompson gets him on Campus. Lance Thompson is the reason Taylor isn't going anywhere.... he doesn't lose kids. And he isn't going to lose Taylor.... He has recruited this kid the whole time. They have a very good relationship and when it comes right down to it. We have more to sell as far as the depth chart and the coaching staff than UF or ND. Taylor is going to be a Vol....

We really can't afford to lose anymore LB's.

I like Micheal Taylor, don't get me wrong here! I think he's an outstanding athlete, hard worker, and based on his comments about his mom he seems to be a good kid!

BUT, if he is serious about his trip to Florida, and intends to be a Gator, then all of the Great Monte Kiffin, and Lance Thompson love was bs.

It's a similar situation with Nuke, he never really wanted to be a Gator, or he would have gone to UF, pure and simple. We didn't drug, hypnotize, or do anything illegal to get Nuke, he wanted to come here! It didn't work out like we hoped, but still!

If MT goes, I won't be mad at Florida, it's on Michael because he didn't want to come here. And I won't be here saying "we didn't want him anyway" because we do, BADLY! But if he's not a VOL, he never will be!

Hope he stays, but if he doesn't UT will live on!

Wow we take a chance on the ugly girl in school when no one else wants her, make her pretty enough to become prom queen, and now she's about to leave us b/c she wants to f the star quarterback. wtf

My faith is dwindling here as well

These are High School kids remember.... Myer is blowing hot air up this kids ass. Plain and simple. I mean if you had these big time college coaches telling you how great you where and selling you on how great you could be at whatever school they are selling. I am sure it gets confusing for some of them....

But remeber he is coming to knoxville this weekend. Also remember Lance Thompson has recruited this kid for a long time. The depth chart and then you have Lane, Coach O, and Monte. Don't give up just yet.....

IMO he will wear Orange and he is going to be a hell of a linebacker for us....

Guys... with this kinda talk you'd better prepare for anything with this kid. The same thing that makes him play bigger than 195lbs (emotion) is the same thing that could keep him from making a logical decision. Emotion left unchecked always overides logic.
Whoever makes him believe they've offered the biggest and prettiest marble may win out in the end. Bottom line is we gotta make him realize that without Superman the
Gators don't have an edge.
