'10 GA OLB Michael Taylor

Taylor has an impressive film. Just wondering about the competition.
Secondly, when we get a MLB that Monte likes, that can really run this defense, we will see Monte's total defense in action.

Why would you question competition in GA?

This kid's size keeps him from a five star rating. Not that I care about the ratings.

Remember Mayo? He was a four star and Chief said he was as good of a LB as any he had coached. Who cares about stars? Really?

He is tearing it up in the NFL.

Also tearing up his knee.

Low blow.... I hope he rebounds nicely. I still like him and want him to have personal success but I hate the Patriots and will always cheer against the Patriots whoever they play. Except the Steelers.... I won't cheer for either.

Georgia has plenty of talent on the high school level. That is one of the main reasons we got Lance Thompson because of his connections in the state of Alabama and Georgia

I agree with you sir. I cannot stand the Pats but don't mind the Steelers. Mayo had a good game again today.

I think he could be a stud for us in the Tampa 2. He is a perfect fit. I hope he is still all Vol.

I don't have a Scout subscription but he was in a Rivals article after the GA game talking about how excited he was about coming to Knoxville and how great it was to get the win over the Bulldogs.Said he was wearing his Tennessee shirt and hat around after the game.

I just saw the headline of the article on scout but do not have a subscription. Does anyone have any details on what it was about? Is he still solid to Tennessee? Does anyone know if he is still going on visits and considering other schools?

The video doesn't have any audio with it so you can't hear what he is saying. Pretty sure he is all Vol. Do we have any lip readers in here?

The audio is working now. I absolutely love this guy. Sounds like a great kid, good attitude, good personality. He talks very glowingly about UT. I can't wait to see him in Orange...

I wish he had just said " I am 100% committed to UT" at the end of that interview.....but the rest of it sounded awesome as far as his commitment to us is concerned. He seems like a very well spoken and grounded young man. Cant wait to see ya in Orange & White MT!!

He did. He said 95% then he quickly said 100%...

Yeah....but you could definitely tell he was leaving the door slightly cracked to some other school out there. He just kept saying "I like Tennessee" when the guy asked if there was another school on his mind. I might be nitpicking, but I would have preferred a simple "No".

Might be correct. I was assuming they both stayed at MLB. Luc would be a mean SLB though...

At MLB I think Taylor is the better fit. Quicker side to side and better in pass coverage which is what Monte wants at the position. It isn't like Taylor can't lay the wood either. His film is very impressive...

I agree with this totally. I think Luc would be a better SLB in this scheme than a middle. I'm no expert though and Monte is the best at adapting his defense to the strengths of his team. If Taylor and Luc are two of his best LBs you better believe he'll find a way to get them on the field at the same time.

I love watching this defense. It's so much fun to watch. You never know what they are going to do. I mean, I can't ever remember using so much contain with the DEs and you hardly ever see a true Tampa 2. A lot of times you will see a form of it on 3rd down where there are two deep S corners playing man and a LB dropping back, but sometimes it may be an OLB dropping into coverage rather than a Middle. It's just plain awesome.
