'10 FL OT Chaz Green

If Henderson signs with UF then we get Green, IMO.

If Henderson signs with UF, we need to call in the antitrust division, because there's some serious anti-competitive behavior going on. Their class is going to be sick. Only Alabama and Georgia currently have the horses to compete with UF, and only Bama has a decent jockey (yeah, that's a reference to Richt's sorry coaching).

I think your better joke would have referenced Saban's height.

Ok, I'm not positive if it looked liked this the last time I checked Chaz Green out on Rivals, but this shows he has high interest in UT and medium on Florida. Seems like last time I looked at him (been a few months) he had most of the top schools at "medium" interest and no schools as "high" interest???

Is this something new or has it been like that?

that is from quite some time ago, and is not at all indicative of chaz' current feelings considering his most recent comments

Florida has the edge here, followed by USC and Ohio State. Tennessee, a lock for his services at one time, seems to be gone from the picture. The USC visit this weekend will be a big one because Green was all set to play for Tennessee when Kiffin was the coach of the Vols. But will Green go that far away? Florida is the safest bet right now.

Not looking good ATM. Basically looks like wherever Seantrel Henderson goes, Chaz Green will do the opposite. If Henderson goes to UF, Green will end up at OSU or USC. If Henderson chooses OSU, Green will most likely stay in state at UF.

If Florida gets both of them, God help us all.

The parents are UT alum, and don't even want to sell him UT. That's awesome.

Smartest move Florida could've ever made:

Tell Dorsey to look elsewhere and take silent commitments from Chaz Green and Seantrel Henderson. Plus, I'm not sure Dorsey is the best "character" guy either.

They already have 2 outstanding safeties committed. They don't really need Dorsey, but those two tackles would be dominant.

You can't really blame them. UT is a complete unknown at this point. Besides, if Chaz doesn't want to come here, it's unfair for his parents to try to force him here.

The hatred of the Gators should have been so prevalent throughout his upbringing, that he would never consider enrolling in that school.

So you're right, they shouldn't force him now, they should have done a better job bringing up their son as a Tennessee Volunteer.

I hope these kids know there are not going to start at left tackle anytime soon.

Florida very well might have a silent from Chaz but I'm not sure anyone knows what Sean Henderson will do. at this point he might even stretch it out past signing day.

The Dorsey situation is unfortunate but after almost a year of being committed he starts really waffling a week and a half from signing day? they gave him the same ultimatum that they gave Greg Reid last year. just like Reid we would have been happy to keep Dorsey. it's not some scheme to free up more schollies. numbers really aren't that much of a concern for Florida as most of the remaining guys on the board are pretty much paired up by position, likely ending the chances with the other if one commits. moreover we're going to pursue other safety prospects to see if we can land a suitable replacement for Dorsey.

I would never force my kid to go to UT if he didn't want to go.

They didn't give him an ultimatum.... they told him they were no longer holding his scholarship. Call it character questions, say they didn't want him taking visits and that's what he wanted to do, at the end of the day they cut him loose to free up a scholly.

Most people agree that Florida had conceded Chaz Green to UT months ago. Now that things have changed, Dorsey is looking for a new school. Coincidence?

I guess Vince Dooley didn't do a good enough job raising his son to be a Georgia Bulldog.

If UF adds Green and Henderson to what they already have now, we might as well forget the next 3 or 4 meetings with the Gators.

I agree not to force your son.

I said the biases should make it a no-brainer. But I was not serious at all, just a joke.

And Vince said he didn't recruit players like his son, and his son wanted to play, so he walked on at UVA.
