'10 FL OT Chaz Green

I am glad that we get the opportunity to see just Tebow on the field without Percy Harvin. I think that Harvin gave Florida a double barrel offense and you had to cover the whole field. Now the center of attention is all in the backfield with Tebow and Moody.

Not sure if you saw the SEC Championship game. Harvin didn't play. We beat bama 31-20. Pretty good game.

The fact that you only argue this statement and not the 10 others on the previous page proves to me you know the spread doesn't produce great skill players in the league.

The spread is the worst thing for a player if they want to play in the league. Had he been a true RB or WR he could have been a top 5 pick, but since he was utalized in a spread offense his stock was killed tremendously. Same with M Crabtree, had he been in a pro style offense he too could be better but route running hurt him as well. I bet if you ask G. Harrel about this same question hell tell you if he knew the out come of the draft he would have pick a pro style offense.

Let me get grilled now...

Dude the Gators won't be as good on O. And Tebow won't be even close to being a good Wildcat QB in the pros. The pro players will not be run over by Tebow. Imagine if Ray Lewis got to meet Tebow in the hole. Won't be a pretty sight to see. Florida guys just aren't good pros most times. On D all you have is Nelson and Mike Peterson I guess right now. Kearse has had his day. And the young DEs have shown be nothing that you can call spectacular. Face it Gator your players just are not good pros. Your QB Rex Grossman vs Our QB Mr. Priceless himself Peyton Manning. And the debate ends there.

Yo LockDown,

But the buzz is they will be better now that Timmy is taking more snaps under center..

My opinion is they putting more in to help Timmy draft stock out since Urbans killed it.

They will not be as good as last year. Cooper, Moore, Nelson, and Thompson are average receivers. I think most would agree with me in saying that if Bama had our athletes in their secondary they would be the SEC champs. Tebow didn't throw that well against Oklahoma. Harvin won that game for Florida. And he won't be there to bail them out this year coming up.

Wow. You can't really believe all of that.

ftw

Another good indicator of how Tebow and most Gators will do in the pros is the Capital One bowl against Michigan where the Gators pretty much got crused (ignoring the final score, Mike Hart fumbles kept score close when it shouldnt have been). Tebow got nailed pretty much every play by a big, physical defense which will be a feature in the NFL. Also, the physical running attack and Henne's pro-style drop back pretty much torched them all game. Granted it was couple years ago, BUT DEY WERE CUMMING OF A NATINLL TITEL!!!!!!!!

Lockdown, I agree with your point about Tebow playing like crap against Oklahoma. OKlahoma greatly outplayed them in the first half, but they kept getting to the goal line and came away with nothing when they should have had a couple of TDs. Without Harvin breaking those huge plays, the Gators lose. Somebody is going to have to make up for Harvin's 30 TDs last year (23 rushing, 7 receiving)...

That being said, let's be honest here. I expect the Gators to be better this year. The combo of Demps, Moody, James, and Rainey will come close to the production from last year on the ground. That WR corp looks a little better to me though. I will agree that Cooper is pathetic, but Nelson will be solid, and I expect Deonte Thompson to explode this year. I would look for Debose to make a big splash too. He fits that offense perfectly. And don't forget, they still have Hernandez at TE to throw to...

And on D, they return all 11 starters from a top 10 defense last year led by Spikes who's prolly the 3rd best defender in the country, Dunlap who is the best pash rusher in the SEC besides Hardy, and the best DB corp in the nation with Jenkins, Black, Wright, and Haden...

Vader was talking more about their O. Also look for the defenses in the SEC to catch up with Florida somewhat from last year. but Nelson isn't that good. Thompson still has to show he's a good receiver. He had opportunities with Harvin out and didn't do too much with them. Also they're offense was most effective when Harvin was playing. Harvin made it easy on the other guys. We'll see how they do without him. They're D will be good though. I'm not completely sold on the secondary being the best in the country but they are good.

Dude. You're clueless. Florida's talent is the best in the SEC, maybe the nation. The only SEC team close is LSU.

Um? You sure? That would tie an SEC record...

Didn't know he scored that many myself.

Dude, dude, dude. Harvin did not score 30 TD's you are starting to look like a real moron.

That's virtually impossible for a WR. How long have you been watching football????

It wasn't Lockdown that said it...Vader just got mixed up

EDIT: LORD Vader. I hate how there are two of them. This one has the cooler avatar though. :)
