Faster than most NFL QB's at 4.6

Fastest QB I have seen was Vick. Did well running.

4.6 is a snails pace when you have LBs, DEs, and the entire secondary just as fast and more often than not faster

His career is done after college. Done

1. I hope that isn't the Florida method of timing that clocks Murphy at like 4.27. If so, we are looking at a 4.75 for Tebow at best.

2. Compare that to NFL Wildcat QBs, like Ronnie Brown...and you see the problem.

This has nothing to do at all with Chaz Green. Sorry guys. I would definitely love to have him, though, obviously. We just need other recruits first. I would love for today's commit to be someone like Hendrix to sway Green a little, but I doubt it.

Why? Because you can't win.

Could you imagine in a million years that you would ever lose an argument to a Gator? Even if the facts were against you?

I'm not going for a win. Just trying to get some points to sink into the unconscious and hopefully later you will discover them as your own inventions.

You mean subconscious. The fact is, Meyer's offense hasn't proven anything other than it works in college. It wouldn't work in the NFL and the players that play in his offense are only hurting themselves because they do nothing but ride the pine if they make it to the league. Harvin would have went to the NFL regardless or what school he went to. He's just that talented.

Ronnie Brown is a running back, not a QB. His passing repertoire is extremely limited.

Anyway, a tradeoff. With Ronnie Brown, you get a better running back but an extra man or two in the box.

With Tebow a bigger running back but enough pass threat to keep the defense in a standard set.

The thing is, NFL teams won't pay him first round money for him to be a wildcat player.

Thanks for the correction...it is subconscious. And you make a good point about Harvin. We can make that to other recruits as well. You're good enough to make it to the NFL anyway and the spread is a great system to showcase your talent.

That's my point. Speed is valued above passing ability. Passing with Tebow from shotgun, as I said, is basically a spread offense.

If he's taking 30-50% of the snaps, they sure will.

Pat White only missed the first round by 10 picks. If you can't see that Tebow is going to get picked in the first round, you've been blinded by our rivalry.

The kid has every intangible going for him, an elite pass efficiency rating, will draw people to the seats, etc.

Your statements about him are starting to make you look small.

Umm...no. Harvin was the consensus #1 player out of HS. He's a Reggie Bush type of talent. That is that not every year will have a talent like them. So no, you are incorrect. Again, you lose.

Umm...you do realize it is because of the offense he runs. It wouldn't be the same offense in the NFL. NFL teams aren't going to run a wildcat package 30-50% of the time when they can go after a true Pro-Style QB.

Also, Pat White will not be a wildcat package player.

Thirdly, 2nd round money and 1st round money are very different.

This is not a UT&UF thread! What happened to Chaz Green? This guy gets off topic on all threads to a UT&UF debate.

I think I read somewhere, that the Dolphins are planning on Using Pat White in their Wildcat formation as the QB.

Along with also developing him into a more Pro Style QB.
He was signed as an ATH.

The Gators put 3 receivers in the last draft.
You can make a good argument that UF is not the place for a RB with NFL aspirations, but that's it.

:eek:lol: So let me get this straight. Are you saying that Florida produces GOOD NFL wide recievers? HAHAHA, I can't name one. I am being honest, the only UF skill player who is worth a crap in the league is Fred Taylor, and he's not extraordinary. QBs= NONE. RBs= Taylor, that's it. WRs= 3rd stringers at best...

Emmit Smith? Pretty good skill player

One Hilliard had his moments. Overall they have been disappointing in the pros, UF that is

Emmett Smith clearly comes to mind, but I was talking about players that are in the NFL now. Being a career 3rd stringer, Hilliard imo doesn't count...\

Did Taylor retire? If so, no worth-a-crap offensive Gators are in the NFL...

I like the name Chaz. It reminds me of Charles' alter ego from "Charles in Charge". He went by Chaz and he was not the good guy Charles was. Chaz Green has big shoes to fill. Be bad, Chaz. Be bad

Darrell Jackson has had a decent career but most have disappointed at the next level.

Thread derailed. Chaz will look good singing Rockytop.
