I'm just using a little logic here. I don't know any more about Luc's recruitment than the next guy and I have no "sources".

Turn the tables a bit and imagine yourself as a top '09 recruit in the state of TN and growing up a Vol fan but you ruled the Vols out because of uncertainty and mediocrity within the program. Then the Lane Train is hired and swoops in and tells you all the things you need to hear about where the program is headed and how you fit into the puzzle....I'd be willing to bet that this is exactly what Luc is going through right now.

I'm not saying the sky is falling and I'm not saying where Luc is going to school but there are going to be a lot of pissed of Vol fans on this board if he does in fact go to FSU...just trying to point out that there is some logic in him choosing FSU over UT and it's not very far fetched.

For some reason, I see Luc possibly holding out past being an EE and waiting to see how the coaching changes pan out for the schools he is considering. Obviously, it has been stated we lead by several different people, but if we don't hear anything by at least a couple days before the Christmas/New Year's break starts, then he may be waiting until signing day. That's just an observation.

What people fail to realize is that Fisher and most of the staff has been at FSU for years. Bowden has pretty much just been a figurehead since Jimbo has been there anyway. Some games he doesn't even wear a headset. I think he is just up in a tower watching during practice. The only thing that will change is the defensive coordinator and I seriously doubt they get anyone half as good as monte.

I believe the much safer bet for Luc to have his skills developed is UT.

I understand the concern, but the more uncertainty the more folks like scalpem are going to feel welcome to post more of their cocky crap talk. By the way, why is a fan of the team we've only played a couple of times, whom we smashed in a national championship (in case you forgot) on this site anyways.

Its a good observation...but can you really see a guy who has the chance to be an ee and contribute as a freshman letting the recruiting process go on for an additional month...and as a result lose 5 months of spring? I can't....but i am worried about FSU...

That's why the mods get paid the big bucks :)

I just don't see anyway that he can be an early enrollee and have the time to wait fsu out, and then try to get to know the defensive coordinator and the new staff. Thats where I think we have the advantage. Besides, from what I've heard his relationship with Monte is pretty solid.

Monte is a huge plus for us still. I'd imagine it's hard to say no to a guy like him when there's a strong relationship in place. Monte needs to pitch a tent outside Luc's house until he enrolls.

Wouldn't the scenario you're referencing be that of Marsalis Teague, except with the Gators of course?

Are you sure... 77 said that he didn't know who to believe... seemed like he was thinking he was leaning FSU imo. As far as I know though 53 still thinks UT....

He said he didn't know who to believe, but I have not seen anything that made me think he believed he was an FSU lean.

Haha since when has Tennessee become the go to school in the country for prospects? FSU will take over he's been slow playing them to see what happens, and he wants to be a Seminole. Ya'll are underestimating the power of his mothers voice in this who would really like to see him go to FSU. TTown is right......Your telling me when Foster or Smart comes to Tally that wont be special?

Kirby Smart versus Monte Kiffin? Hahahhaahhahahahahahahah

You can't forget how important staying instate is to Luc and his family...that alone can completley outweight any relationship he has with Monte. If FSU can show him that they have everything stablized and a clear plan for their future I am afraid he is all Nole.:cray:

Don't oversell the in state thing. It just isn't a big deal in this modern era of cars, planes, Interwebs and postal service.

You're probably right but Jimbo Fisher as HC is far from making anything "stable". That guy is just as much a cause of FSU's demise as Bowden is. Fisher's offenses have been horrible there.

I wonder what these kids who have NFL aspirations are going to do 3 and 4 years from now when they get drafted. Will they be afraid to leave the state of Florida then to go to Seattle or Oakland or San Diego or whomever drafts them?
