well he is an analyst..... has connections..... un-biased opinions

as with anybody...he could be wrong too....but i like all the "TN lead for Luc talk"

Have not checked out the LUC thread in a while. I clicked on it today and to my suprise it sounds like we are in the lead now to get him. Wow! Thank God FLA STATE sucks so bad this year. I just hope this works out..

Luc has relied on Treasure Coast linebacker coach and recruiting coordinator, Aaron Shepard, to help organize his recruitment. Shepard updated Luc's expected arrival in Los Angeles this week.

"He's coming," said Shepard. "He actually talked to Ken Norton earlier today, so he's set to visit."

Per Rivals... He will be officially visiting USC this weekend...

At the risk of sounding stupid, does USC really pose a threat at this point? I know that USC ALWAYS poses a recruiting threat, but of all the schools that seems to be the one that I have heard the least about in the thread.

And FLVol on VQ just backed my thoughts up. Said he'd stop posting between the EE date and signing day if he went all the way out there.

I guess I'm fast twitch compared with you guys though :)

I'm in no way worried he goes there, just was excited he may be heavily favoring us if he didn't go to visit. He still may be though. I just got too excited hearing the news I may not go out there.

If he doesnt decide to be a Vol, Id rather him go to SC than UGA or UF. I dont understand how Rivals can drop a kid SO far after just ONE bad game. Lattimore looked terrible against STA and he didnt lose his 5th star (that I am aware of). I want Luc to come to The Hill and be the next Al Wilson. A huge hitting, emotional leader.

It isn't one bad game. Luc has struggled all year at being consistent. He will make a big hit if he can get a clean shot on someone but he has problems shedding blockers at this point.

Would you have the same evaluation of him if he had UF in the lead, or was committed to the gators? I highly doubt it. Dont get me wrong, I know we all do it....I just dont know how the kid went from the best prospect in FL, a 5* cant miss, to someone who is "questionable".....and this was all cited after one game performance.

IMO Luc will be a Gator. I didn't want to mention that because I didn't want to turn this into a flame-thread. I have always felt that he was at least a year away from serious PT as a LB.

Even if he is it means very little. Silents mean nothing in recruiting. I feel that he will be a Gator close to or after the FSU game if all goes well. The one thing that does worry me is us thinking Hicks is a lock and then we slow-play the Luc because of that. Hicks could easily go somewhere else, even if things do look good for us right now.

I honestly dont think UF is high enough on him for him to end up a Gator. If they were, all the chatter wouldnt be about him and UT. UF is also stacked at LB, isnt it? Also, there is a good chance your DC will be a HC somewhere in mid-January.....especially if the D keeps playing at the level it is.

why do you think he will be a gator?

His parents want him there and he has the best relationship with coach Strong. Plus we can sell early PT. I also think Luc is a very nice kid that tells coaches everything they want to hear all the time but it always seems to come back to Florida and coach Strong.

I sure don't think he is a lock. I just wanted to point out that my opinion of Luc as a player is certainly not based on the fact that I feel like he won't be a Gator.

Hicks, IMO, will be a Buckeye or a Longhorn. Not many great OH players get out of state when the Bucks really want them. Hicks' recruitment will get interesting for sure.

I do agree with your first sentence and that bothers me a bit. I hope we don't drop him because of Hicks because Hicks could easily pull a switch on us at the end. Urban loves Hicks though so if he thinks Luc would scare Hicks off then I can understand why he is slow-playing Luc.
