No way lattimore ends up a nole, he is probably 90% SClite, 5% Auburn, and 5% PSU. Hope he visits with his buddies saturday, like to at least make a run on him.

I don't have sources and don't claim to, never have. I come here to GET information, which is sometimes difficult to do when I have to wade through garbage posts like yours. Credibility around here is earned, and last I checked this is VOLNation, so know your place. Man, that ignore list just keeps growing...

It would be wonderful if Al Wilson showed up at the Auburn game and had a chat with Luc. That and the atmosphere of a night game in Neyland would seal the deal.

You seriously care about earning cred among Vol fans? We don't care because if he's not coming to UT, the 2nd best thing is rooting for him NOT to go to Florida.

So if you think you're earning some "cred" by being possibly right on a 50/50 decision between USC and Florida that hasn't even been fully confirmed yet, I would think again.

Since.... Jacques Smith, Corey Miller, JC Copeland, Delvin Jones can play DE, and Bruce Irvin can play DE... If Powell comes... 2 of those guys may decommit.

However, this thread is about LUC. He is scary, and i like scary. We want him more than we "need" Powell.

It does not sound like Luc is leaving Florida. FSU is 5 and a half hours away, Gainesville is 3 and a half, Miami is 2 hours. Knoxville is 12 hours...

But it also sounds like the whole family should think about a move to Knoxville. I bet Serge can find plenty of work as a handyman in Knoxville.

I've been saying it for months now. I wouldn't get my hopes up for this guy. If he come to UT then great! However I don't see him leaving the state of Florida.

I don't know how from that article you think it strengthens your opinion (You may not just assuming you are). One thing the article states though is this:

Luc said his other eight schools are Alabama, Florida, Florida State, LSU, Miami, Ohio State, Tennessee and Southern Cal. That’s listed alphabetically. Luc emphatically claims no leader.
That said, rumors were running rampant that the Gators were Luc’s favorite as he attended the Florida-Tennessee game as an unofficial visitor this past weekend. Of that trip Luc said only that “it was intense. Very intense.”

You can take that article however you want. It can mean UF leading or wide open, or a different school that he's not telling. The one thing consistent about Luc is that he doesn't give any information about where he's leaning at the moment or who he likes best at the moment. I honestly wouldn't be surprised if he commits here or UGA or somewhere random. Tennessee is a big player with him, especially since we'll get him for an official.

I honestly do not see him leaving Florida as well but if he stays instate lets HOPE he goes to FSU instead of UF...I would hate to have to face him for 3-4 years...I hope Monte is really getting into his head...It's never over till its over as the old saying goes :thumbsup:

I agree with you that Luc does not leave the state. It's tough for UT fans to come to terms with but it appears as of right now that they are in 3rd and that Luc's mom does not want him to leave the state. A lot could change though so I wouldn't say y'all are out of it yet. Jeff really knows how to play the recruiting game so it always seems like he falls in love with the school he is visiting so it's tough to get a read on the kid. Mack Brown said in an article that he feels Luc and Powell are close to committing to UF but who knows.

Do any of you guys think it would help if they sent Monte down to reassure him about the role he would play in Tennessee's system? I know Gran is the man when it comes to recruiting, however having Monte in his ear, if not already, couldn't hurt.

As I have stated before, I really believe he decides between FSU and Florida, and I would now give the Gators a slim - and I mean slim - edge over the 'Noles.

Someone who was accompanying me talked to him briefly at the game about playing for UT, Monte and being prepared to the NFL. He just had a big smile. The Gator people all around him got pissed. Some of the other recruits walked through where we were tailgating. That point was made to them also lol.
