Hmmm....there is a Lane Kiffin press conference scheduled for tomorrow at 9am according to UTSports.com....

My guess is that he will be talking about SEC media days since they start Wednesday, and what two players are making the trip. I doubt it will have anything to do with Scroggins.

I have read everything I've seen over the last few weeks on Scroggins... I have a Rivals & Scout account & have even set a notice on Google News if any article posts on the kid! I don't think anybody outside his immediate circle has a clue except the Coaches themselves. I think that Scroggins has let the coaches know of his selection... Just like his teammate Bailey Admitted to after announcing USC. With that said, Coach Kiffin has been far to calculating over the last few months not to look at the timing of all this as a ploy. What better for UT if Jesse moves up his announcement to the day the SEC Press meetings start (much more effective than his original Sat date)! It gets even more coverage nationwide. I like the writing on the wall....

What UT currently has at QB is 2 top 11 QBs that have not been coached to their strengths. I will bet JC and NS play TONS better the next 2 yrs than they have. UT can win with them at QB. JMO!

I don't think it would be uncommon. I believe Tuesdays is when UT does their normal press conferences during the season. Maybe they are starting them again as of tomorrow since Media Days is this week and fall camp is only two weeks away.

You are right, he can't discuss a recruit. He can indicate that tomorrow will be an exciting day for the Vols!!!

Even if we don't get Scroggins (who is amazingly talented and would help the UT program tremendously), it's smart for Kiffin to do this to distract people from any kind of let down or nay saying. He redirects doubt from the Scroggins loss to whatever else he wants to talk about.

yeah....I knew he couldnt mention Scroggins.....but it is interesting....I sort of feel for Scroggins....he has to be torn or was since he said he has decided.....February '10 is when we'll know for sure anyway.

I am a life long fan of the Vols. I don't think the future of our program depends on this 1 kid. I however would like to see us get a good QB lined up for the future as much as the next guy. with that being said ESPN is advertising its coverage Wednesday of the SEC Media day Wednesday @ 2pm what would the 4th or 5th best QB committing to USC tie in at all to that time slot during that show?....Seems more like a plug and a jumping off talking point for Tennessee or Florida Commit. JMO it would be classless to show a PAC-10 Commit in the middle of a SEC media week special..

NO CHANCE! I agree the staff needs several yrs to fix the major issues needed, but this fan base will not put up with it! You see what 1 NC in 58 yrs has done.

I did see what it did... it gave a coach 10 more yrs to really throw the program in the toilet and live off that 1 season

I have some training reading people.....but I tell ya, this kid hides his decision well....I cannot get a read on him watching his interviews.......course, I didnt like how his expression perked when he mentioned Florida in this video YIKES! (all speculation I know)
