dude kiffin and scroggins are just messing with everybody especially usc. its their plan this whole time to act the way they are acting. he talks good about usc cuz kiffin and scroggins want uscs heartbroken and to get our name out there when he picks ut and everytime they mention florida scroggins doesnt have sh** to say haha which is what kiffin probably told him to do cuz he hates florida and he doesnt want to help floridas recruiting since they are in the sec. but since hes always talking good about usc and stuff he is trying to let everyone know about this situation. its gonna get are name out their in the end when he chooses tennessee

He has spoke highly of UF all along...telling people that they "just don't understand" Urban Meyer and how he runs his system...that he ran a more pro-style set for Leak and that he would for JS as well. He has liked them all along...I still can't help but think if it weren't for the distance factor, he might even choose them over USC and UT....though it doesn't make any sense to me, he seems to have bought into what Meyer is selling. Not enough to pull him from USC though, IMO (though I keep going back and forth...)

I agree 100% with you on that. The original post I was answering though was stating that the Vol fan base would not let Kiffin stay longer than 4-5 yrs if he hadn't won an SEC Championship by then. I was just reminding that person that they let a coach who won 1 NC and only 2 SEC Championships in 17yrs, stay longer when not producing. I never was a Fulmerite, but I did respect what he had done up until about 5yrs or so ago when it was obvious he wasn't helping the program move forward anymore. He started living off of his reputation instead of his on-field merit.

We had won 3 SEC titles in the preceding 7 seasons! not trying to start a Johnny v Phil debate, but we were definitely heading in the right direction at the time of the change.

I hope he is given the chance. UT fans are not easy to please!

I will give him at least 5 years, but I will bet almost anything that if UT goes to minor bowls or no bowls the next 2 yrs...even if things are "looking up"....LOOK OUT! This site will be peppered with anti CLK threads about his experience, brashness, ect.......You can book that!

alright im just gonna shut up for now on and all yall will realize it wednesday. im tired of everybody just bashing what i have to say and i know alot more than you if you think he is a usc lean ha

Why would Kiffin mess with USC? I have no idea how this is going to play out but all Lane has done is praise USC and Pete Carroll. I don't think he has any intention of showing up USC on the national stage and I think this is more of a Scroggins event than Kiffin. If Scroggins picks the Vols it is not because we want to embarrass USC but because he wants to be a Volunteer.

don't take it personally....this happened with the bryce brown saga too...hopefully it works out the same way for TN
