Georgia just self reported a violation because Mathew Stafford got 4 tockets to a falcons game given to him by Jay Cutler! I would assume if this is a violation then what was done in Cali would definately be a problem!

If Barkley starts at USC this year, Scroggins won't play until his senior year...he'd probably start as a freshman at least half of the season here.

If Barkley doesn't start this year, Scroggins will have to redshirt to have a year he could play.

By then, who knows what QB beast the Trojans will have brought in behind him.

He's grossly underestimating the value of PT and, especially, showing what he can do against the best defenses in college football, who are the SEC.

IMO I think that we will be fine with NS...it would be nice to take a backup this class but we will have to get a stud in 2011 but the downside is that he will have to start which is a little risky.

Not necessarily, Scroggins could redshirt and start his Jr year after Barkley is gown. That is if Barkley doesn't redshirt and if they don't find another stud QB by then which I'm sure they will have 1 or 2 by then.

If KJ gives 1 dime back to USC, and I am sure that he does, he is considered a booster, thus it would be illegal. The only way around this would be if they could prove that he had a relationship with JS that predates him being a prospective athlete.

There are a bunch of posts on VN because someone posted that "Skinny Pete" talked to Frank Wilson and that FW told him about KJ. Unless someone can vouch for the validity of Skinny Pete, I can't believe people are taking this seriously. So for this to be true, JS would have had to have told our coaching staff about this (seems unlikely that he would if it were true), someone on our staff then would tell FW (since, as far as I know, FW isn't recruiting JS), then FW would have to tell Skinny Pete. Seriously...

Of course, if Skinny Pete is legit, my apologies.

If the NCAA really investigated, it wouldnt be very hard to prove Jesse and Keyshawn didnt have a pre-existng relationship before his recruitment.

Besides, this whole thing may not even be true. You got a person who has a friend who was told by Coach X that it happened which means someone told coach X..

no way of really knowing, but I can tell you that our coaches are extremely confident. They are generally confident and they are also confident with Jesse.
