Michigan under Lloyd Carr, Orgeron at Ole Miss, LSU, Oklahoma, Georgia. Those aren't all pro-style offenses?
Burden of proof is on you. You were the one that said he wasn't a fit.
No. Michigan never offered Cam, Ole Miss had Brent Schaeffer, LSU never offered Cam, Oklahoma runs a hybrid/spread offense that Cam could play in, and I have already covered Georgia. Here's Cam's profile from HS for reference for those that are wondering....

I have given plenty of readily available info about who has offered him, where he has played, and where he is currently playing as proof that he doesn't really want to play in a PS offense and probably doesn't translate good in one. What proof have you offered that he can??
A few months ago, Newton was actually flying under the radar somewhat. He was considered to be a 3-star prospect with a big upside, but a little raw.
Yes, LSU did offer, Ole Miss offered too, not sure what Brent Schaeffer has to do with anything. Oklahoma is a pro-style system. It's not a spread.

Go ahead and switch Michigan with Maryland and Ole Miss. You are saying prostyle schools didn't offer other than UGA. You're wrong. Plain and simple.
Dude, again. You said he couldn't play in a pro-style system, not me. I don't need to prove it. You need to prove why he cannot and you haven't done it yet. You are the only one holding that opinion. Not coaches, not any other poster on this board. You don't honestly think you're right over all those other guys do you?

You just quoted Scout, which doesn't even list his home state school offering. That's a little odd, don't you think. Besides, LSU took Jarrett Lee and he committed on 5/30/06. Cam committed to Florida almost 3 months later. BTW, Oklahoma and Texas run almost identical offenses that are derivatives of the spread.
You yourself said that you have to look at both sites to get a full list of who's offered. Isn't that what you do on your master list? Am I wrong? Oklahoma and Texas do not run identical offenses, Eric. They don't. You aren't making your point very well right now.
It kinda does. We basically took him for depth, which is what we would have been taking a 2nd QB in this class for if we didn't get him.lamaison will be in the '09 class so he has no bearing on who we take in '10
We can't prove anything right now until he actually does it.
What we do know though is that he's never done anything like it before. He doesn't have the skills required as of now to do it. Will he develop them? Who knows. But if he goes pro style, he's a big project. He's even a project if he goes dual threat, just because his passing isn't on the level it needs to be.

I don't see us taking 2 unless its one project type player (Newton, ..etc) and another guy like Scroggins or Rettig.
