Which school will Scroggins verbally commit to tomorrow?

Possibly, but what looks more attractive to a 2011 stud like Worley or Golson who we might be going after?

That would be a senior and 3 sophomores. That just isn't very conducive to selling our depth chart really.

But if we have something like

Lamaison
Rettig
Rozier

That looks a whole lot better to them.

But really, who knows what this staff is doing? All of our commits that seemingly come out of nowhere show that none of us know about anything.

Ok just a little stressed with all this he said she said stuff. it's almost like this guy just wants to show his butt after you have shown him the truth. It sems some people may not all ways be right , but they are never wrong.

Jarrett Lee will never do anything at LSU. He'll be beat out by a dual-threat guy in Shepard in all likelihood. He also has Jordan Jefferson ahead of him who is more of a dual-threat guy then Lee.

Not really. Shep is likely to be moved to WR by the midway point of the season. Jefferson is pretty clearly the #1 QB though.

if a recruit wouldn't come here because he's scared of our depth at qb then we certainly don't want him...usc pulls top qb's every year with their depth chart...so i hope that our staff has the chops to convince high school seniors to come here no matter who we have behind center.

Our program is nowhere close to USCs though. Especially after 2010, where its very likely we'll have an awful year due to a lack of offensive line and QB play.

that's the whole point of my post...if usc is able to get qb's to commit despite their depth, then our coaches certainely should be able to pull a few due to the scrubs we have at qb. so who we take this year and next should not deter us from getting more qb's down the road...good programs recruit at least one quarterback a year.

This Spring has absolutely convinced me, 100%, that these kids do NOT care anything about depth charts. None, whatsoever. I mean, we can't even get Tommy Rees to commit to UT. Tommy Rees! He goes to a team with Crist setting there, and Hendrix already committed. Let's not even talk about Scroggins cuz that poor fellow thinks UF does not even have a QB behind Brantley even though in reality they have 2. And he's now gonna go waste away behind Corp, Barkley, and a 2011 stud at USC. I just don't get it...

Well I asked this question in another thread, but Ill ask it here as well.

Do you think our inability to attract a 'top QB' has anything to do with having Reeves as our QB coach? I think hes probably the weakest link in the coaching staff. Would it really help if we had a bigger name in there developing our QB you think?

Yes. Here's why...

When your trying to sell yourself as the position coach, you must actually be the position coach. Kiffin and Chaney are going to be directly involved with the QB's more than Reaves. It's a very complicated issue that may have to be resolved before next year, IMO.

Kiffin and Chaney are going to be the real QB coach. Reeves is a recruiter. I do think he is a weak link overall though. compared to who we have.
