Just heard that Jesse will be making another visit to UT soon, with Dion Bailey. Maybe a good sign.

And how often do you see that happen? Hhhmmm? Please educate me on all those "One Year Wonders" that made it to the league, and better still, in the 1st rd. IMO, the fact that Sanchez had to ride the pine for almost 3 yrs...and behind Booty, underscores just how risky it really is to put Jesse in an even worse situation.

I think so...

The airplane ticket from L.A. to Knoxville is not cheap, at all, and considering Scroggins also has a buddy with him...

If USC had just another 4* prospect last year, that's one thing, but Jesse would be trying to supplant two 5* guys ahead of him, and fight off another next year.
If Pete Carroll thought for a minute that Jesse is an All-World prospect, he would've been in on him from the beginning and Jesse would've had an offer at the beginning of the recruiting season. That he had to wait this long and had to compete with other unheralded guys...and hurt at that...tells you what Pete thinks of his ability.

BTW, bold or Caps for emphasis...sorry if that cramps your style or something.

well lets hope his dad makes it out to all of the public practices they hold because thats going to be the only playing he'll be seeing!!

The odds may be better here - but it isn't a guarantee, and I would say that dad knows that. It's not easy, so we shouldn't pretend that it is.

When you get on a plane, there's no guarantee that you'll have a safe flight, but ODDS ARE that you will...so you're saying you need a guarantee to do anything in life? Am I understanding you correctly? Kiffin has to guarantee Jesse playing time?

Wasn't JS supposed to take an official this season to UT with DB? Maybe this is what jsp is talking about?

I would expect his official will be during the season, way after his scheduled announcement date of July 25th. He will more than likely already be committed to a school when he takes official visits to others.

I would expect that visit to be cancelled though. It would be utterly pointless, and we don't need to be picking up the tab for deadend trips.
Our QB situation will be settled by then. If he doesn't cancel the trip, I would hope that we pull the invitation.
